Pen-Pen - if you need a hand with the crocheting when I get back give me a shout. My grandma taught me, she died when I was 8, and then my Mum reminded me a bit later, so have had a few years at it!! I have quite a few crocheting patterns somewhere safe!

    Morning all
it`s already been very busy here in the sunny household, the wm has been on and emptied, the dw the same, although i did have to dry the dishes that came out as i discovered that the rinse aid had run out and when that happens nothing dries.

The loaf that came out of the bm was like a brick and i`ve no idea why as i`m using the same bag of flour/yeast etc as yesterday and that one was perfect - it`s on again now to do a loaf (from the same batch of ingredients) that hopefully we can eat.
It`s rainy here but not very cold and it seems as if it will brighten up later.

I went to peel some potatoes for tea yesterday only to find that there wern`t any:eek: DH swears blind that they were not on the shopping list and when i asked him for the list he hadn`t got it, this means a trip to the shops later when i really didn`t want to go so i may as well get the rinse aid too.

Busy day today as i have the upstairs to blitz and hopefully i will have enough energy for the downstairs too but we will have to see as i don`t feel like rushing around too much.

Tea will be enchiladas and jacket potato i think but that could change, it`s on my meal plan but i may swap days with tomorrow depending on how the mood takes me.
I think i may have a lurk around the weightloss thread later to see if i can pick up any recipes, i got weighed for the first time in a while yesterday and found that i`ve put on 6lb  i needed to lose a good bit anyway but now it`s even more!
I blame hm bread and biscuits as i`ve been baking an awful lot since changing to os ways :o
Ah the upstairs beckons, have a great day all

Sorry to hear about your little piggy Tru

  • Morning everyone

Are we on Oz time now?:D

Happy Birthday Churchmouse! Have a wonderful day. BTW I will take one of your knitted kitchens if there are any going spare. ;)
Scuzz good luck. Hope you get the job.
tru sorry about your wee piggy. :(
HHester the more I read about your lodger the more I think she is actually from another planet!

This should be my day off but we have so much work to do that I am going in to do some overtime. I have booked the cottage for our holidays (:j ) so I now need to save every penny I can.

Made a tuna pasta bake for DS's dinner tonight. Just threw some stuff together so I hope it works. Made a HM loaf last night. It's now almost gone. DS and DD now agree that nothing beats HM bread.

    Have a tremendous Tuesday. xx

  • Wow, you earlybird chatterboxes!! Page 2 already! A very happy Birthday to Churchmouse :bdaycake: have a wonderful day, hope you do get a 'spoilt day', although if you could just pop one of your fabbo knitted kitchens in the post to me (I'm sure it would be tidier and cleaner than the one I've got at the moment :o ) I would be very grateful.

    Tru, your poor piggy :(

Kyle, off you go and get another glass of whatever....

Nice and sunny here today. We had a bit of a bad moment last night when my boiler appeared to pack up  , had a mysterious error message on it and of course OH couldn't find the instruction manual. Got up this morning to a nice cold house, OH promptly used all the remaining hot water in the tank having a shower  leaving everyone else shivering. I was about to ring the Gas Board when I noticed there was a Reset button on the boiler, gave that a press, and hey presto! instant heat. To my shame, I have a feeling that it was just smothered by the fumes from my griddled tuna last night....:o :o

Today is cleaning day, oh joy, and then I have to sew on some buttons on a new shirt and hem another one. Pancakes for dinner although I'm not keen on sweet ones so will be making savoury turkey ones instead. If anyone else wants traditional lemon and sugar ones they can do their own (as long as the boiler can cope!!).

    Have a great day everyone

    Good morning, my lovelies:D

Thank you all for my birthday wishes, it's lovely to come on here and get so many:D

I did not beg Aussie to start the thread:p ( just threatened her with death if she didn't :rotfl: :rotfl: ) only joking, it was a surprise to me too!

tru, sorry about piggyicon9.gif Feel even sorrier for poor rabbit, would you want to be in the same cage as a dead animal. No wonder he/she had gone to the farthest corner;)

    kyle......have a drink !!!!:rotfl: :rotfl:

PennyPenguin, I'm sure your crochet is most impressive, DD's probably just jealous of your immense talent:D (or too honest for her own good;) )

Well so far today I've done nothing but open pressies and cards, drink tea and be waited on.:D Long may it continue, I'm thinking of trying to start a new tradition of my *birthweek* (only for the lady of the house you understand:rotfl: )

Anyway, enough of my drivel......... doorbell just rang, more pressies yippeeee!

    Bye for now,

    CM xx

    Morning all

Happy Birthday Mousey  Hope you have a lovely day.

Tru - Sorry to hear about your piggy - am looking forward to your blog - can we see some of your cards too? (promise I won't nick any ideas lol)

Cold and windy here this morning - couldn't walk DD2 to school as I've got a really painfull bout of sciatica, luckily she's only got a 5 min walk to the walking bus stop so she can manage on her own now and then.

I've pottered about loading and unloading the DW, not enough washing yet for a full load (bet there will be enough for 3 tomorrow - how does that happen??), swished the sides down and made the beds, made 3 MS phone calls and answered my ebay questions.

Turkey leg in the SC with some xmas turkey stock, going to make it into a mash topped pie for tonight and then pancakes for DD's for pud.

Hope you all have a lovely day.
