OS Daily Thread 5th February 2008

Options
Hi, this is the Daily Thread for 5th February.. This is an “over the garden fence” type thread where we chat about everything OS and maybe a little bit more. It’s a great, inspiring and motivating thread we start each day to discuss what we’re going to do today or what we’ve achieved already. Everyone’s welcome, please do come in, put your feet up (although check the fence hasn’t just been painted first!) and join us for an OS natter. The more the merrier!

When you make a post, if you feel like giving it a title, that will help others that don’t have the time to read everything skim through the thread quickly but if not it's not a problem, we’re a laid back bunch here so you won’t hear any complaints. Please do not start a new daily thread before you go to bed at night because this often leaves things confusing with two daily threads live at the same time. The idea is that a member would start each new daily thread
after they get up in the morning

Some people who chat here like to try to answer everyone. Don’t feel you have to though, a general “hi everyone, hope everyone’s well” type start does just as well.

Good morning everyone,

Thought I'd start the thread today as it's our favourite little mouse's birthday today.

Happy Birthday Churchmouse.

Hope you have a lovely day and go easy on the breadmaker. :D It's nearly worn out.

It's raining here again. More flooding around the place. I've finished my curtains yesterday. I"m keeping the sewing machine out on the dining room table as I have a heap of mending to do which hopefully will spur me on to mend it. Well that's the plan anyway.

Hope you all have a happy day. Will pop back later. Byeeeeeeeeeeee

Don't worry about the world coming to an end today. It's already tomorrow in Australia. ;)

Good [STRIKE]evening[/STRIKE] morning everyone...Aussie what are you up to starting the daily at this time of the day!!! :naughty:

We aren't long home from Dad and Stepmums...they very kindly knew I wouldn't feel like cooking tonight so we had dinner there.

It was lovely to spend some time with Haribo...[strike]Wuthering Heights[/strike] Her house was bleeping cold but it was so much fun. I dare say that dbil will need a month or two to recover! One of us he can handle, but I suspect that both of us were a bit too much for him. :D HJ, keep well and keep warm. Give the girls a kiss from Aunty Pink and look after Father Jack and !!!!!!. I had a lovely few days and it's a long time since I laughed so much..thankyou xxx.

There was a reason that I started this post....

    Oh yes...
    Happy Birthday Churchie
    :bdaycake:

Hopefully catch up with you all in the morning, now that I'm back on a decent pc, in a centrally heated house where I can feel my fingers. ;):p

    Happy birthday Churchmouse.

I am sat here listening to the rain hammering on the windows. Hope it calms down by the morning as DD has a Pancake Race at school and I have just made her pancake. Thought the smoke alarm was going to get everyone scrambling from their beds! I had to open the back door and put up with the rain lashing in for about five minutes.

Oh well, now DH has finished watching Family Guy we are off to bed. Night night.

    Happy Birthday Churchie old girl!!!

Greetings everyone, I'm much happier this week, mainly because I'm having a week off wo*k. I don't have much planned - I was going to go to Madrid but I honestly can't face that and so will be just pottering about as you do. It'll be a chance to get a few bibs and bobs done, eg bring some recycling to the tip, go to the charity shop, buy a tv stand for my new telly (it's resting on a cardboard box at the moment) - well, you know, all the usual house stuff that gets put off until another day.

Aussie, you wouldn't run up a few curtains for me and send them over? I still don't have curtains after over three years in this house.

Pancake Tuesday - think I'll be a slovenly mare and buy some from the bakers. I did make pancakes last year but they were a bit frazzled and the smoke alarm kept going off.

    Enjoy your day Churchie.

    Bye all.

    Snowy

If you lend someone a tenner and never see them again, it was probably worth it.

    Morning all :hello:

    Happy birthday Churchmouse :bdaycake: :D

I'm having one of my regular can't-sleep nights  Also my excema has flared up, that only happens when I'm very very stressed. I don't feel stressed, though some things have been bugging me lately. I'm lucky though, it's only on my back and arms and you can't see it (it doesn't go red), you can just feel it. It's very itchy and driving me mad

My little piggy died yesterday  I was checking on him every 30 minutes to feed him and give him a bit more of his medicine from the vet (he could only manage a bit at a time). When I checked at 12pm, he'd just died. He was all on his own, the rabbit had squashed herself into the corner, as far away from him as possible

I got loads of work done yesterday, I just have some stuff to post today and check emails and I'm done. Master tru ran out of clothes and so has put EVERYTHING in the wash at once so guess what I'm doing today
