Greetings.
Before I forget:
happy b'day/week Churchmouse :bdaycake:
Tru - sorry to hear about your piggymouse. Hope Bubbles isn't too traumatised.
Scuzz - good luck. fingers crossed for you.
Hester - what on earth??? Crazy girl.
Went to bed at half nine last night because I was absolutely shattered. (had a long and stressed day). I was also freezing and wrapped in a blanket. DH had had to take his jumper off as he was too warm. Alarm bells should have been ringing...
Woke up at half two, needing the loo, and a splitting headache started up. Dozed on and off til 7, when I had to get up. slightly dizzy, boiling hot (as I had been whilst dozing) and generally urgh. DH took one look at me and sent me back up to bed. So, bonus day off work. feel guilty, because I know the whole team is really busy, but honestly I couldn't have coped. I've been really sensitive to noise and light for the last few days, and work in a large, openplan office. I'm thinking migraine combined with odd temperature affecting bug.
I haven't done anything with the day, just sat on the sofa on the t'internet, sent a couple of e-mithers, shivered a lot, and generally vegetated.
I made american styleee fluffy pancakes (self raising flour, baking powder, 1 egg and not as much milk as normal) for breakfast at about 11, and didn't eat them all. The cats were quite fond of them though..! We might have the same type for pud tonight.
Hope you all have good afternoons and evenings, and hugs to all who want or need them. :grouphug:

Aw Tru, sorry to hear about your little pig. I hope that the vet can tell you what the problem was and that the others (you have others, don't you?) are all OK.
Pancakes...mmmm love 'em! Went to the shop and bought three, got home and toasted and buttered two - then immediately chucked them on the floor along with the plate which smashed. Bahhhhhh!!!! So I had one pancake today. The trip to the shop was to buy some looroll - forget to get that, d'oh! So will go out again in a bit. I got the local paper, and there is only one job which is even half way suitable for me advertised in it. I am off out tomorrow morning (Ikea wooo hoooo) and will contact some agencies when I get back home to see what the score is. It would be an awful lot worse if I had no job, but really this supermarket job I have has served its purpose and I am ready to move on to something a bit more interesting and engaging.
My neighbours who's baby died late 2006 have become parents to a new baby boy recently. Their first child was born with so many problems, but this baby is 100% fit and healthy. I don't know them at all well, but I am very happy for them, especially after all the heartache and pain they have had to bear in losing their first child.
OK, so back to the washing and scrubbing....kitchen is a lot tidier, it was a bombsite before, just needs a good long lick with a mop and a wet cloth. Then it'll be the sitting room next. I do so wish I was one of those people who is naturally tidy, I don't notice my mess until it has reached the point of despair.
Churchie, hope you are being spoilt rotten and that you get yet more pressies before the day is through.
Bye all.

Snowy, that's great news about your neighbours, give them a hug from me
I've just realised I didn't actually say what was wrong with [strike]Squeak[/strike] [strike]Squeaky[/strike] [strike]Squeaker[/strike] [strike]Squeaker Pig[/strike] Little Mate (he had lots of names). His digestive system had slowed right down, the vet gave us all sort of meds to jump-start it but in the end, nothing worked  No disease or anything that could be passed on, so the other pigs and the rabbit are healthy

Can I have ask for a hug, please. This uncertainty about funding has finally got to me. My boss has decided that we need to reapply for the jobs we're already doing. She's then getting cross when I asked for clarification as to the content of the application, and the procedure that the interview will take. I'm on holiday next week, and the interview is the week after, and on present form I'm expecting that I'll turn in for work and be told that my interview is later that day. I've been on the verge of tears all afternoon, and keep having to retreat to the loo.
Off home soon, and I'll stuff my face with maple and banana pancakes and raise a large glass to Churchie
Donny - I'll take you up on your kind crocheting offer :A
Hope to be my cheery self again tomorrow

Hi all
Have been really busy and not getting a chance to read everything, never mind post. The way things are set up at work it is a hit or a miss reading you all and posting a real no-no!
Churchmouse - Very many happy returns! Hope you have had a pampered day and a pampered week sounds wonderful! I always try and draw out my birthday (Christmas Day!) and pull out the 'well, I cook on Christmas Day so need special treatment' thing.
HH - your lodger has to go, seriously.
Tru - have saved your blog into favourites so hopefully can read from work. Am I right in thinking it was your wee gpig who passed away. Poor rabbit he is bound to miss his buddy. Our hamster is getting very geriatric and very friendly. He has to have his cuddle every night. I have already warned DGSs that hamsters don't have a long life expectancy.
HJ - see you are back to normal with the posts last night. Pink - glad you survived you are a Saint! Your poor BIL - might be back to normal in 6 months!
Aussie - you are mischief making as usual you wee devel (as is HJ!).
dlb - so, so well done. You are doing fantastic!
Scuzz - hope all goes well with the application. You will need to tell us what programmes to watch if you get the job!
Hope all other folk who are poorly or having a hard time are OK. Huge welcome to new posters who I have not got to grips with!
Having a chicken curry from the freezer tonight. Kitchen guy came round last night and I am now in his diary for 6th March! It is somewhat daunting but will be worth the disruption in the end.
Must phone DS in Ireland tonight - had to tell him I couldn't book flight to come over because of not knowing when kitchen done. Got a new toy - a slide scanner. We have 20 years worth of family slides which I want to scan and then make up albums for DS and DD. Only problem was that Amazon took two payments and sent two scanners! Had to sort that one out today.
