About to have a shower and wash my hair, then will settle down to watch super size vs super skinny, and then i will prob go to bed and read, tv these days is dismal!!!

(((Big, enormous, hugs and wet, slobberry pancakey kisses to PenPen.)))
Tru, I'm sorry you lost Little Mate. I hope he wasn't originally named after Squeaky the BG.Loving the blog by the way.
Hope the appt went well for DD Catznine and you sleep better tonight.
Good luck with the job Scuzz. I wonder if you'll be allowed so much time on T'internet if you're broadcasting to the nation.
Snowy... Thankyou for the get well soon card. :ASorry you dropped your pancakes. No doubt you didn't really forget the loo roll but are making a special trip to buy more pancakes.
Enjoy Ikea. I've phoned ahead to ask them to make extra meatballs for you and Pink.
Quiet day again here. I made turkey fricasse and mash for tea and blueberry pancakes for pud.
[strike]I'm wrecked again but I think that's just the infection.[/strike] Whinge, whine, moan, whinge, pity me etc etc.
OH is building a wardrobe so if I make it to tommorrow without instigating divorce proceedings I will call that a success.
Take care all. I'm off to clean my pancake batter encrusted hob.
Haribo x0 -
Evening all,
Happy Birthday churchmouse.
Been extra busy today, made two hm pizzas with dough from bm.
made 5x portions veg curry.
made sheps pie
baked a traybake with my new lakeland traybake tin - fantastic cake (or whats left of it) is in the plastic traybake tub. I made a honey and lemon cake to help fight off those nasty cough and cold bugs
we had pancakes as well for pud tonight with honey and lemon. again waging our own war against the dreaded lurgy.
Am quite tired now after all that. Will try to read the thread now before my hot bath beckons.

Just popping in to say a huge Thank You for all your kind wishes:D
Haribo, please note it is 8.30 and I'm still sober(ish). That's why I'm posting now:rotfl: I've had a really lovely day, so many pressies and cards, I didn't realise I knew so many people:D
We went out for a lovely Italian lunch, yum yum, and then tonight DH cooked and we had gorgeous pancakes. I'm really stuffed:o (and he makes better ones than me:rotfl: )
Snowy, hope the agencies can come up with something suitable for you. Only the one pancake, have an extra drinkie to make up for it;)
PenPen have a big (((((hug)))) to go with celebrating my birthday for me. I detest this whole *apply for your own job* farce. They know you, they know you know your job, what's it all about
Metherer hope you're feeling a bit better by now.
Haribo look after yourself and have a ((((hug)))) too. You are one of the least whingey people on here, so it must be bad for you to even mention it!!! Feet up and rest, Churchmouse orders:D
As I'm not sure the family are buying my suggestion that I have a Birthweek, I'm going to get off and let them spoil me for the remaining hours of today;)
Nearly forgot, glad you had a good day catowen:D I well remember those days when adult conversation was rarer than hens' teeth!!!
CM xxYou never get a second chance to make a first impression.0 -
 Good evening all.
Just sitting and enjoying a nice Picon Beer after munching my pancakes, musing on how great it must be to have your birthday on Pancake Day....
Off to the pub in a bit for the quiz.
I've done quite well for me today: got home from work at about 5.45; I've made my tea loaf (fruit was soaking overnight), and it's looking good. I'll save a bit for those with a birthday. It's just cooling, but I can't post any pictures until Photobucket's back up and running.
Had 4 nice big pancakes with Golden Syrup and lemon for tea. Made from scratch, obviously. Finally finished off that BBE 2004 plain flour!
I don't seem to use much plain, for some reason. I should make more pastry. It's probably time I did a nice fruit pie or something. Now I just need to know what I can do with a half-squeezed lemon. It might go well with the Picon.....
Sorry to hear about Tru's pig.Hope everyone else is enjoying pancake day. :j
If you lend someone a tenner and never see them again, it was probably worth it.0 -
LOL at Haribo
I had my Squeak before OS had BG SqueakyI remember PMing him and telling him he had the same name as my guinea pig
Bulletproof0 -
A quick update, dd has to have a MRI scan, the neurologist has diagnosed a very rare and severe form of migraine which mimics a stroke and sometimes meningitis (poor love) also could (worst case scenario) cause unconsiousness or even coma! and he wants to see what is causing it but has altered her meds to something stronger! Hopefully her right side will recover and she has the go ahead to start some exercise again. Although not good news we are well aware that it could have been much worse news and are very thankful.
Thank you to those who sent best wishes and especially:-
Haribo - thank you for your kind words and support - it meant the world to me as i was very, very scared.
We have come home and had some pancakes;) , onwards and upwards!
Catz xOur days are happier when we give people a bit of our heart rather than a piece of our mind.

thank goodness that [STRIKE]batter splatter[/STRIKE] pancake day is over for another year. We had four guests and I made umpty dozen of the blighters, some cheese, some plain and some out a shaky bottle thing.
exoh just dropping dd18, dgs3 and his little friend back home so that's 15 minutes of peace ..... well almost. dd11 is doing some homework about instructions and is copying a macaroon recipe but changing some of the words with a thesaurous - "before you commence wipe your surfaces so that they are not besmirched etc etc " :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:
She enjoyed church the other week so much that she is deciding what to give up for lent - she's suggested spinach but even with my limited religious knowledge I'm pretty sure that's not the point.
right - time's up - have a good evening - bath and baileys - what an excellent ideaI'm going to feed our children non-organic food and with the money saved take them to the zoo - half man half biscuit 20080
