I hope Tesco have there spys reading these threads and relise the custom they will lose most of the post on the last few pages of this thread are people saying they are going back to asda if the codes stop.

  • I have started to put together a series of tables of points and discount codes that you can sort into order and interact, I just started it so its not fully complete take a look and let me no if you have any ideas to improve the system

Alas I dont have an Asda or a Morrisons within sensible travelling distance from where I live.

Now that Sainsburys dont send me bonus nectar point offers I use them a lot less than I used to - in the past 6 months I have done 1 largish shop there. All the rest I do at Tescos. If Tesco do stop sending the bonus points I would not use them as my major supermarket anymore - probably use Lidl or Netto, combined with Kwik Save and Sainsburys.
  • I was having a discussion the other night and learned one or two things about tesco I didn't know.

    1) If you wonder why some people get vouchers and you don't, then it most likely because you are too loyal to tesco. He told me that the offers are aimed at people who don't shop that often and it is Tesco way to get you to be loyal to them.

    2) If there is another store opening nearby or having a refit, people in the area will get a mass mailing from Tesco, to stop them from going to the new store.

    3) Tesco are working on a new Clubcard voucher, named the Smartvoucher. It is linked to your clubcard and all deals vouchers will have your clubcard number on them ( even when converted ). When you spend your vouchers, the company you use them on has to validate you otherwise they will be invalid.

    4) e-codes will be linked to clubcard numbers. so if the code is not on your clubcard, you will not be allowed to use it.

    5) when you shop online, the website is localised to your local store - you can only buy what they sell.

    6) if you use a code which has £10 of £75 and you shop falls below the £75 after BOGOFs and they don't accept it, COMPLAIN. He says they will honour it in all cases.

I don't know how true these are, but he is the manager of my local store!

    ........

It all seems like common sense to me..things I'd guessed at before. I have always got my points and money off if my shop has come under the minimum total required - just by ringing and insisting. ;)
  • oh well, that could have been my last Tesco home delivery for a while :(

I used a £50/1000 point voucher and as things are changing, as it seems they are, I'll be stopping having the home delivery. I've managed to re-train my spending habits so that I only shop once a week, and I've cut my spending down to just over £50 a week, and I've had a home delivery each Saturday for a while now, picking up 1000 or 500 points each time.

The only code I can find on another site is for 1000 points for a £75 spend and I can't justify spending the extra just to get the points.

oh well - when I (eventually) get this quarter's statement, i'll be off to MFI to buy the bedroom furniture range that was second on my list, as the range top of my list is another £700!! I was willing to wait and keep saving the points over the next couple of quarters but I'll probably swap to Sainsbury's for a bit, or, I might start using Lidl more. We have 3 of them in Poole and I've only ever been in twice I was impressed, but stuck toTesco because of the points I was collecting. Actually - yes, I'll swap to Lidl - see how I get on there for a few weeks!!

Shame really - I've put a lot of pennies Tesco's way in the last 9 months!

  • Hello there

Could anyone possibly advise me if the 1000 extra points with the 12 pack wine order xx ypyp is working.
I was going to place an order but am only doing so to get the extra points - so no point if its not gonna work.
Also do you think the 1000 points code will work along with the 20% off wine offerr on at the moment and free delivery.
From what I can make out it says in small print no xx ecoupons accepted.

    Many thanks.

I'll be off too, we have a huge range of supermarkets here so Tesco only get my money if I get something back from them. TBH Aldi's stuff is far superior to Tesco anyway even if there isn't such a huge choice.
Organised people are just too lazy to look for things

    F U Fund currently at £250
  • I will diferently stop buying from Tesco's if they make it impossible to earn a decent amount of points. I have a Morrisons a lot nearer to me, so looks like it back to a weekly shop using the car if they introduce these new rules.

Hi, I've scanned the posts on this forum but am finding it difficult to suss exactly what's going on.

Can anyone quickly summarise what has gone on with tesco e vouchers, why the posts have been removed and what Tesco are up to?

    Thanks in advance.
