Even if customers are boosting their shops to meet the minimum spends 20% is still a huge discount.
I agree that Tesco could stop people using the codes anytime they want, however I'd expect a competitor (Asda?) to jump in and then start offering large codes to attract those leaving Tesco.
That along with the bad PR it may cause could prevent the codes from being made unique.
I'd be very surpirsed if the delivery costs we pay actually cover the expenses from home delivery.
Say a van makes 25 deliveries per day at an average cost of £5.00
That's £125 to cover the daily costs of:
Wages for the Van Driver
All Van costs:
Fuel
Initial Cost
Insurance
Maintenance
Tax
A resource to gather and pack your shopping in the Store.
The costs are all irelevant as a business owner myself, the staff and vehicals are all inplace so it makes sense to use them as often as possible, discount coupons etc bring in more business, and apart from the milage on the vehical the rest of the costs would have to be paid eitherway.0 -
Yes, Skyeurope, put like that I can see your point. Tesco also don't offer the same as Sainsburys do (I am told by a friend as I have never used them myself) whereby if they miss their HOURLY timed delivery slot - no 2 hour waiting with them! - you get £10 off or free delivery or something like that. Couldn't see Tesco doing that - I have often had deliveries 20 minutes late with no compensation. That must cost Sainsburys a bit if if happens often and I wonder what profit they lose then?!0

Just used a code for the wine - they have an offer of 20% off this week plus free delivery in 2 weeks so used a £10 off code from the site and also has free delivery on Tuesday next week plus 20% off plus £10 off - result £27.44 for 12 bottles of wine delivered free.
magic - thank youSaving in my terramundi pot £2, £1 and 50p just for me! :j0 -
To bank Tesco codes:
1. Login to your account. Go to Groceries.
2. Add anything to your basket (you can remove it later).
3. Checkout.
4. Pick a delivery slot (you won't use it).
5. Now's the chance to add all those codes to your 'bank' or 'purse'.
Screen offers you chance to add one code - or more than one. Click on the 'more than one'.
6. Enter the first code: e.g. xx-abcd
If accepted it will appear in a list of banked codes on the right-hand side.
7. Continue until you've entered all the codes.
8. Remove the item from your basket.
9. Logout
When you're ready to add more, repeat.
When you're ready to shop it should pick the best code from your bank automatically. (Some debate on how efficient this is!)0 -
Good point there, gillflyn, I 've just emailed this website to ask them if they're affiliated, and if codes are actually open to everyone, sent by shops themselves or individuals who receive them because of their customer status : it's probably a bit naive to expect an answer, but I'd be interested in seeing what they say, if they reply at all!
Best Wishes

hi.. dont know if this code has been put on here ,but had my points through to day, and i had a code for 1000 extra points when you spend £50.00
the code is ...................... xx-GVM4 .............................................
sorry if it has allready been posted........hope it is of use to some of you....

I agree that using a £15 off £75 shopping voucher does encourage you to spend more.
Frequently my on line shopping comes in at the £65-£70 mark and so of course I add something to bring it over the required amount. Usually wine which I wouldn't ordinarily buy at Tesco so they are gaining sales!!
I also go quite a bit over to make up for all the BOGOF'S and various offers so as not to miss out on the discount. In effect they are getting more out of me than I would usually spend but as I feel I'm getting something for nothing.....I don't mind.
If Tesco DID stop the codes I would be back to Asda like a lot of people on here.Make £10 a Day Feb .....£75.... March... £65......April...£90.....May £20.....June £35.......July £600 -
Hi, question.
Just moved into a new flat and signed up for a club card (and lots of lovely cheap wine).
opened my clubcard envelope, only to realise its for the girl who lived in the flat before me. She's got sent a £3.50 voucher for her club card points. i don't have an address to send it on to. will that voucher and her points be wasted if it doesn't get used, or will she get the points back.
if it will go to waste, can i use it? i won't if she'll ge the points back on her card for it, obviously.
