And lo and behold, here we are at the cut-off date for these points to be added, and guess what? After tons of e-mails and several phone calls I still have not had my 2500 points from my October 2005 order added, nor have I had the 1000 points from my January 2006 order added.

Just not good enough and I am absolutely furious that my account is not showing any of these points - after all, it adds up to £35 they are not going to let me have.

I sent numerous emails about my points too...dating back to OCTOBER!!!, never heard anything and thought they would never be on in time for this quarter ..BUT LAST WEEK I HAD £50 WORTH ADDED ON ALL OF A SUDDEN. So now hoping to receive nearly £75 in total this quarter. But after reading the NO DISCUSSION THREAD, it looks like TESCO have started to remove some from people!!! Hope I don't lose any!! They are definately still showing on my points total online.
  • Hi, just been busy doing the weekly online grocery shop, and have just discovered a problem with the codes I have. I had a few bonus codes banked, and as I had spent over £100 this week, I wanted to opt for the code which had the largest bonus points. Needless to say, Tesco's system didn't automatically take the code with the highest points, so I deleted a few from the ones I had stored, until it took the 1500 points one. I then went through checkout, processed the order, and then decided to go back in and rebank the codes I deleted. Well shock horror! but their system refused to bank XX-GML8 for me (even tried the long version of the code) I also tried to update some other bonus codes I had found, but no luck. Looks like something has been done to their system to stop these bonus codes, and could be the end of a good thing. Hoping it's just a coincidence though or a temporary system glitch, but thought I better let you know before you delete codes like I did.

So ... if the cut-off point for Clubcard points is 29 January (as I have been advised two or three times now), why is it that when I go to Tesco.com to view my points, they are still showing? Minus the 2500 from my wine order in October and minus the 1000 from my wine order in January that is.

Tesco in a bit of a pickle over Clubcard points maybe???

I think you will find they will still show but when you actually receive the clubcard vouchers they will be for the amount you had on the cut off date. The rest will be showing towards the next quarter.
No Matter what you do there will be critics.

just tried to order my shopping and none of the 1000 extra points codes would work. they said that they could not be regonised. they were all in date. looks like they are stopping the use of these codes!!!
  • I used a £15 off £75 online code - it "took" on the pc but was refused when it was delivered.
    All credit cards paid off.

It all seems weird to me too. When I go to the Tesco.com homepage, select clubcard, log-in then ask to see my clubcard balance, it shows me ALL my points....yet if I go another way round it. i.e - log in first to my account, then select to see my clubcard details from th MY ACCOUNT page...it shows 0 POINTS all the time. How is that!

Did anyone else have trouble with their website last night too?? I couldn't do my shopping, but when it finally let me, I entered the £15 off £75 code, it said that I couldn't use it, but still took the money off!!!! I don't fancy my chances of it still deducting from my bill when my shopping arrives after reading other peoples comments about what is happening though!...my guess is that they are going to lose more customers than it's worth though if they are stopping all this!...other than me because Sainsburys & Asda don't deliver to my area!!!

As a relative newcomer, and reading all the paranoia which surrounds whether Tesco are going to 'pull the plug' on certain customers who abuse the system, rather than banking the points in our Tesco account to be used later (and therefore for Tesco to see what we are up to) would'nt it be better just to enter the code as and when you do your shop.
Also, why not have a couple (or more) clubcard accounts and online accounts in various family member's names and keep each of them relatively low so as not to attract the attention of 'The Big T'
    Happy shopping!!

Also, I have not had my 1000 points for a wine order since before Christmas, but if you think I'm going to start kicking up a fuss and attracting Tesco's unwanted attention then think again. If the points do arrive on my Feb. statement, then this will be brilliant, but to lose a few points every now and again is a small price to pay for both annonimity, and for some of the great offers available .

What a fantastic idea...well done bb999 for suggesting this. Hopefully it's not too late though and they haven't already pulled the plug!!!

Another way to save money for anyone...if you dare do it of course.....call them up and say you aren't happy with the dates on certain things...and they just give you a straight refund....NO FUSS AT ALL. Not that I do this all the time of course!!!!! But at Xmas, I had approx £12 worth of goods going out of date the next day, they refunded me the lot and also gave me my £5.99 service charge back too! Great Service from Tesco's. :D
I have saved loads from this website thanks to a lot of people's postings, but find I would rather save the money each week, than have the extra points, but that's down to individual preference of course. :T

SO PLEASE TESCO'S....LET US KEEP OUR DISCOUNT CODES!!!!
