maybe I could get something from Tesco for this delay?...
    Any ideas?
Yes - use Sainsbury's, because Tescos won't give a stuff if you complain.

Have called Tescos and they advised it was because an item was out of stock which took my total order down to under £100.00 inc a coyple of BOFOF's. They have reactivated the code so I can use it again and more interestingley sent me an email with a with £10.00 of my next shop with no minimum spend linked to my phone number! 01234 567890A. So they are checking validity. Can't say I'm surprised. Hope this is not the end of something good. :o

    Hi there,

If this happens to you again - and if my orders are anything to go by it will - don't let them get away with it!! I've had this countless times when the code has been accepted on the website but refused when it's been delivered because of out of stock items, bogofs etc and I have always got them to honour the code.

First of all you need to get on the phone to the customer service number on the sheet given with your order rather than email as it's much easier to push a point with a person on the end of a phone than someone at a keyboard. Basically I argue (albeit very politely, it's not worth being rude or anything) that I can only go by the guide price on the website, and if it falls below due to bogofs that is their problem for not re-doing their website to show the actual price you're paying, instead of the 'guide price'. In the case of oos items, I just say that's plain unfair. Again, it's not my problem that they don't have the stock in - after all, if I was going round the actual shop with a coupon for a certain spend and items were out of stock I would simply add different items to my basket. How am I as a customer on the internet supposed to know when an item is in or not?

Really if you just stick to the 'I can only go by what your website shows me' tack you should be ok. Also, if they have made a mistake with your order (sorry, that should read 'when' they make a mistake ;) ) all the better as you have already been inconvenienced, so they are more likely to be sympathetic.

I hope this helps a bit for next time it happens :o

  • I did call customer service but might give it another go today. Thanks ;)
  • So here we are, two days prior to the cut-off point of 29th January, and I still have not had the 2500 points added to my Clubcard for my wine order at the end of October. Nor have I had the 1000 points added for my wine order dated 14 January and delivered 23 January. So they owe me at least £35 which as of this morning has not been added to my Clubcard points.

They advised me that for the 2500 points I had missed the October cut-off date and they would be added in January. However, if this is the case, then why - when my second wine order was dated 14 January and therefore prior to the January cut-off - are they telling me I have to wait until April for the points to be added?

I just don't feel this is good enough. I have now e-mailed at least six times, and have phoned once.

PS - That's my moan over with for today!

I sent yet another email about the 3,700 I'm still owed and said they weren't showing up on the online account.

They said that the card admin. department said they were aware they were owed and they would definitely be added this time, but 'I wouldn't necessarily see them appear on my online account'............hmmm.....call my cynical, but i'm not holding out much hope.......

Apologies if this is answered somewhere else in this thread, but will take me all day to trawl through -

Could someone please tell me if the money off codes with tesco orders can be used at the same time as the extra clubcard points codes?

Thought this could be done but tried it recently and it wouldn't work.

    Thanks
  • I tried all the valid codes but i wont take anything off or add the points to my order, even though im new and have inputted all the codes correctly?

Could there be a computer problem?

no sorry- only in rare cases can you use two codes at a time and that is usually on wine orders over £100 where you can use FREEDELIVERY as well as another code

No, only one code at a time will be recognised I'm afraid.
    Wins since 2009 = £17,600

    MANY THANKS TO ALL OPS
