Same thing happened to me about 6 years ago , I live in a bungalow , although I was asleep and did not find out untill the morning , I am still very nervus at night now , every little sound scares me. I always make sure I have a phone by the bed as the police told me to ring 999 if anything happens like that again.

My advice to anyone who gets broken into when they're at home, phone the police & tell them they've got guns, you'll have half the local force on your doorstep in minutes.

i actually walked in on people with guns in my house and was told to 'shut the **** up and sit down' .. i actually legged it straight out the back door again. police still took a good 10 minutes to turn up, needless to say they had well and truely gone by then and never caught them

it took me years to stop being jumpy in that house i even run out the back door and hid in the conservatory because i thought it was happening again, called my mum (i was 18 and living at home) she came home and it was the window cleaner. i was a curled up wreck in my nighty in the corner of the conservatory.
OP it does get better should you decide not to sell/rent your house but it also takes a lot of time.

    goodluck
It only seems kinky the first time.. :A

Thanks and i am sorry to hear what you had to go through aswell as others. These human beings really do not know what effect their violent actions have on innocent people.I really hope that what goes around comes around .

Thanks so much.Is your son ok? It also makes me so so angry and upset. My mum came to see me tonight and told me she thinks im depressed. I just have so much to deal with at the moment and have to spend tonight here as i am expecting my company to send me my replacement work lap top via courier.I am so tired but CANNOT sleep. I have but dead bolts on the front door but NU still have not contacted me about fitting a new door, i will call them first thing tomorrow.I am leaving the living room light, landing light and front bedroom light on but literally feel sh*t scared.I dont think they would be stupid enough to come back but worried they know i am a lone female. Surely they wouldnt risk breaking in again? I dont know. Thanks again for all the comments/advise.:(

    Thanks He is getting there.
I think you are depressed and i think you should go to your doctors and they can get you to see someone who can help you though this , It makes me so mad  to think they have took away your safety god if you cannot feel safe in your own home where can you feel safe , My heart really goes out to you .
You are right they will not be back because they will know you would have gone to the police, I have thought about you since i read your post and i just wish i could be there for you .
Please remember we are here for you and if i can help please let me know .
  • Amazingly how quick they would have turned up if you said you where going to shoot one of them with a gun.......

Sympathies, but this is Britain in the Noughties a sick and twisted place where they will send you to court quicker than a speeding bullet if you dare to go 31 in a 30 zone or pay your taxes a day late, but you can rob'n'rape all day without fear of getting knicked. Makes me sick.

Hope you get your stuff back. Peace.

Makes me sick too.I atually took the largest sharp implement i have in my kithen upstairs tonight. Its in the bathroom along with hairspray.Under my bed is a heavy candle holder. Its awful that people who are just trying to earn an honest living have to take such measures.I just want to fast forward 2 months ... cant even bloody sleep.

and remember if you have to use the knife that the robbers came into the room with it and you managed to get it off them and use it;)
