I just got off the phone to Ryanair's customer upsetting department. It cost £1 a minute of course. The reason I called was because I booked some flights yesterday for travel in 6 months. I just realised I accidentally booked flights to the wrong airport - I thought I was meeting my folks in Limoges but it turns out they will be in the South of France. Ryanair hadn't charged my card yet, so no problem, I could surely cancel the flight and rebook. However, the £1 a minute call centre (and it took over 5 minutes before I spoke to a person) told me that it is completely impossible to cancel flights, company policy. I could change my flights for £24 per person per leg...ie. my honest mistake would cost me £96 to correct, almost the full price of the flights themselves. It would surely cost Ryanair NOTHING AT ALL to change this but they would rather rip off a customer for a few exra quid. That's it: I have had enough of their penny pinching attitude and arrogance that they do not have to lift a finger for their customers unless they are paid for it. I will never, ever use them again.0

I just booked 4 cheap flights with Ryanair. It only cost £20 for four of us to go to France return. Bargain! Part of their latest offer. HOWEVER it was £6 each for priority boarding (I was expecting that) but £10 EACH to pay by card even though there is no other way to pay (No Paypal option) Even if I selected Electron it was still going to be £40 to pay by card. I have never heard of anything so scandalous in my life. They were still very cheap flights - at half term too - so I did go ahead and book but I cannot think they should be allowed to charge this amount when there is no other option to pay.0

I think you are mistaken here. I got an Electron card specifically so I could use on Ryanair. I have just done a dummy booking with them and there was no charge for ElectronA positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effortMortgage Balance = £0

Just booked a flight from Luton to Reus (Spain) for mid June.
Total price £5 return.
Used electron and only taking hand luggage,check-in online.
People really should get their act together to beat Ryanair at their own game.0 -

I have used RA many times without any trouble getting bargain,£5 return and even 2p return fares.
Read their T&C`s and stick strictly to them and you wont go wrong.0 -

Dec 07 got flights to dublin and back at 1p each way, incl all taxes, charges and everything.
March 09 got flights to Belfast for £5 each way, incl all taxes etc.
If you look at what you are getting and the price you are paying and are happy, book it.
If you want to avoid the card fee, google entropay.0 -
We used Ryanair at Christmas and it was the worst airline I have EVER come across in terms of customer service.
We had bought 3 seats so that my husband and I could sit together and he could have an extra seat to stretch out comfortably and not have his legs crushed into the seat in front, or his shoulders cramping from being hunched up.
When we checked in, we were told that the on-board staff would definitely find us two seats together, if not three. Fine.
The crush on board the actual plane was ludicrous - with people seemingly bringing "small" suitcases into the cabin to avoid a luggage charge. Yes, they were underweight BUT they were too big for the overhead lockers!
The staff just stood in the aisles looking gormless as the press of people grew greater and there was gridlock
As people finally started to find seats, we explained to the stewardess that my husband had paid for two seats to himself. THREE TIMES she approached passengers who were sitting alone in the middle of three seats - they all said they didn't want to sit next to anybody so she left them to take up an entire row whilst leaving my husband and I standing in the middle of the plane like idiots whilst everyone else was seated. Then she walked off!
It was only due to a kind passenger offering up his seat that my husband got the two seats together that he had paid for.
Our tickets were £160 EACH - these people had paid for one ticket but were allowed to take up three seats because they felt like it - and the stewardesses did nothing about it, yet treated US like the imbeciles.
They were rude to everybody, had no control over the situation at all and it was an illegal and dangerous voyage as the aisles and exits were blocked with the stupid mini-suitcases that passengers were somehow allowed to bring onboard
On the return journey we paid the extra at the airport for Priority boarding - but I begrudge paying extra in order to get the seats I had paid extra for originally! As for the debit card and luggage charges - I was fuming.
Ryanair is not a patch on Jet2 or Monarch (both of whom offer similar prices) and I'm surpised they aren't adding a surcharge for Staff Courtesy - as it certainly does not come as standard!Living with Lupus is like juggling with butterflies0 -
I Must have missed the rule in this deomocratic country that forced you to fly with Ryanair and also the one that said even when I go to pay I am forced to hand over my Credit card details not knowing what charges I might be paying and what exchange rate I am getting and god forbid I spell my own name wrong or pick one airport when you mean another and expect someone to do something for nothing would you ...
No wonder so many people moan about losing money when they dont read the Terms and conditions :rotfl:
RIP Off Ryanair ...you are having a laugh.
