heard yesterday that my post at work has been regraded in an upward direction......:D good news for the overpayments. it will take effect from this month although won't appear in the pay packet until next month (with back pay) so don't know how much difference it will make, but anything is better than nothing. also my standard mortgage payment is down by a fiver too which will all help!!!!

the new post at work has now been advertised too - i'm going to be be putting in an application in the next couple of weeks - there's another even better one too, which i may try for although a cat in hell might have a better chance. even so, my boss says it's good to show the intention and another more generic version of this one may come up soon (i don't really have the specialism they're after, although am not a complete numpty at it).

onwards and upwards - i hope!!

also have had my first water bill which turned out to be £26.13 for the quarter which seems pretty good to me - especially as i'm more a bath person than a shower person!!!! am almost in a position to post an soa, which i'll try to do at the weekend.

hope everyone is surviving the week!!

wow I can't believe your water bill, we have tried to contact water company to get a meter but still waiting for a response, I think we could definitely reduce our bills which are currently £36 a month!

    hi ev!

    remember there's only me!
    - the washing machine only goes on once a week and the dishwasher every two days - but i still think you could make a saving on £36 a month. i just set mine up as a dd - they said 10.18 a month whoch is over what i've spent so far, but i have been away for a total of a month in that time too, so i'm happy with that. i think they adjust it if they need to anyway.

other developments - my travel for march has come in at £231 so that'll be my overpayment for beginning of may. travel for april is really bad - it's only going to be about £50 the way things are going, so i'll try to add other stuff in to get it up to three figures when the time comes. I think i should get back pay for the regrading in may so that should help!

    have a good day,

    happy weekend everybody!

i'm going to spend it putting together a couple of job applications and trying to get my head around the prospect of interviews - not my favourite pastime!

i would love either of the jobs i'm going for and they're both more money too so that's some extra motivation.

next weekend it'll be the next visit to the Halifax to overpay for May!

    i'm excited already!!!!
