That's what the savings are for; I guess it is in your annual budgeting to save for it, you just forgot it was due this month, rather than say next month?0 -

Thanks LM.......now it's got me thinking though, should I just cash them in and OP them into the mortgage - I can always get some more when I've paid it off!
Re: savings - yes, I did put the money there with the holiday in mind, but then I forgot I had to pay it, and I hate taking money out of savings!!!!!

Must admit that OH and I did cash ours in and pay it off the mortgage, we'd had them a few years and not won and we thought paying it off the mortgage was a win/win.....think mortgage finishes about 3 days earlier than before now! :rotfl:
I know what you mean about the savings but just tell yourself it's for the greater good!

Just a quick reminder to others, check that your address is up to date on your premium bonds!MFW: Nov 2008 £156k, Jun 2015 £129k, Jun 2017 £114k.0 -
Progress towards my mass op on july 4th is quite promising so far......
£25 premium bond win
£155 money owed by various sisters
£133 travel expenses
that means i have less than £200 to find next month out of other money.
