Yay!!
Managed a second OP this month - just emptied le cochon and found I had £25 which was baggable, so legged it into the Hally (looking neither to the right or left in the shops) and paid it into my mortgage account before I thought of anything I 'needed'.
Monthly total now £230, year to date now £953.37 which is almost 48% of the annual target.)
2010 MFW Challenge No. 112 Mortgage paid in full 27/08/10 I was MF!!!
But now I'm not - (Joint) Mortgage £104704.New MFW target £5000 overpayments by 31/12/2105 £400/£5000 = 8%SAVINGS TARGET - £25000 by 31/12/2015 £13643/£25000 = 55%No 17 Lewis Lane0 -

PO xx
We put the seeds in a propagator at first, then into pots on the window sill about 3 spring onion shoots in each 3inch diameter pot for about a month. Then they've been outside in a bigger pot, about 2 or 3 inches appart. They're looking good so far but still a fair bit of growing to do. I think they need slightly deeper pots than you might grow an above soil veggie in though. Transplanting probably won't harm, could try a bit of spacing out and deeper pot? To be honest we have a bit of a trial and error approach to home grown veggies, no experts here!

Well done on the blinkered trip to the bank!
Nearly 50% of annual target and not half way through the year yet - good going! Can't wait to post about first OP here! Still working on the list!MFW: Nov 2008 £156k, Jun 2015 £129k, Jun 2017 £114k.0 -

Going in to make an OP still gets me sooooo excited even 17 months into the project!
Just looking at how much difference an OP can make on the mortgage calculator is enough motivation for me! Perhaps I ought to get a life!:rotfl:
(You wait - you're gonna love it!!!!)
Good luck with your quest!:D

Ok so i'm trying to decide how much to op in june. if i stick to the travel expenses it's not a lot this month - only £61.96. And on top of that me and barneysmom have pledged to OP £500 on july 4th in the mass op day, so maybe i'll just do that and then really concentrate on raising/saving the £500 for then! Le cochon is in a pretty sorry state at the moment too.
£500!!!! Me and my big mouth!

PO
I think you've answered your own question; OP by what you can afford to, even if it wasn't your initial plan0 -
Have made my june op today.......£140 in the end because my sister gave me £40 she owed me, and my mum gave me £100 she didn't! (thanks mum!)
now on the save for the promised £500 for July 4th mass op day _ still owed £155 by other two sisters between them, and travel expenses are expected to be around £120. i should be able to find the other £225 easily enough (although the cochon is staring into space with a 'don't look at me!' look on his face!)
Anyway, i'll work out where i'm at and update my sig! over 50%of the year's target though!:D
