Have started my vegetable garden - although garden is a slightly strong word for it. Really it's a few pots, but hopefully they'll produce some nice fresh stuff for the summer and save a few pennies.
DH will be off to warmer climes for three weeks this time next week - he has some exams to finish off. Will miss him muchly, but the food bill will shrink! May be able to make another OP on the savings. Can't think of any other up side to him going though.
Not a lot else to report at the moment. Hope all well with everyone else.:o

So far I have tomatoes, courgettes, spinach, strawberries, rocket, sweetcorn, radishes and peppers. Some of them look a bit unwell though, so we'll see how they do in pots.
Can't wait for it all to grow now!2010 MFW Challenge No. 112 Mortgage paid in full 27/08/10 I was MF!!!

Hi,
I'm quite new to the MFW board so gathering some ideas by reading threads.
We've got our veggie patch/patio pots up and running this spring. I know what you mean about some of the plants looking poorly! Spuds, tomatoes, peas and spring onions are growing strong but squash and pepper looking peaky and I think the aubergine plant have kicked the bucket. Also we're onto second attempt at cucumbers - think we put them out too early!MFW: Nov 2008 £156k, Jun 2015 £129k, Jun 2017 £114k.0 -
