    Hi poppyoscar,
I have a halifax mortgage too and have never been charged for overpayments, I just called and got the details off them and set up a SO, there was no mention of a charge and I've never seen one on the annual statement or online. Call them up and find out what you can or can't do without charges but if they insist on a tenner per overpayment I'd save it all up and only do it once a year.

I am a numpty - thought you had a real life pig at first not the elegant white china one!
