Hi Poppy, wishing you well with yr new financial plans. You might want to check out Barclays Golden ISA although it depends how long a term you are interested in eg Lloyds two year one doing quite a good rate. Lots of others out there of course and some giving better rates if you already have some form of banking with them.

Saving plans for today
- take the remains of yesterdays lunch to microwave for lunch at work today
- read metres and start a serious energy saving drive
- meal plan for the week from stuff that's already in the cupboards/freezer
Slow start really, but need to get back in these habits again!

Well, 2/3 ain't bad - didn't read the metres as was DARK when I got home from work - bad bad day, and far too long.
Stuck to the other two though. Is going to be more challenging tomorrow as to take something for lunch is going to mean making something in the morning, but will try.
Tomorrow's new initiative is a slight change of role for le cochon - he's going to be a £2 collection pig now. I already have 2.
Am also going to quantify savings on daily/very regular basis. So today, £4 in £2 coins into le cochon.Have decided to quantify in pink
Mr C at the opposite end of the country to me this week. Boo hiss. Kinda miss him. Going up to his next w/e.
Night all,

Been away for a few days at Mr C's and going off on the big holiday on Friday. Can't wait. Have opened new ISA and paid in £500. Hoping there'll be some more at the end of the month to go in as I'm feeling the old obsession kick in again.
Trying to get by this week living on stuff out of the freezer (probably save about £20) but probably won't eat much anyway as need a new body by Friday.
Managed to get back and pick Leo up from the cattery before 12.00 thus saving seven squid which can go in the fund.
So today's savings £27 albeit a virtual one. Will transfer directly to ISA.
Have a good week folks.

Used my card reader to move the £27 into my ISA account and have now found another £4 in £2 coins for le cochon.
Not sure what moneysaving I can do today as wasn't going to spend any anyway, so can't not spend it if you see what I mean - freezer food etc but accounted for in yesterdays £27.
Looking at things as they stand I'm hopeful that another £300 will be available at the end of the month to pay into the ISA.
Going to pack today ready for Friday. Most stuff is washed and now needs ironing. Starting to get very excited.2010 MFW Challenge No. 112 Mortgage paid in full 27/08/10 I was MF!!!

Going into work today even though it's the holidays. Seem to have a lot to catch up on.
This will mean lunch out, as meeting my colleague in the office but moules frites at Monty's is only £8.50 and includes a glass of wine so I guess that's not too extravagent.
Also need to sort out some hand luggage as my case is apparently 5cms too fat. I have £17 worth of vouchers from debenhams so will get something with that therefore it's free.
Still eating out of the cupboards/freezer otherwise - haven't shopped since the saturday before last. The milk will go off any minute!
