Erm, Tracy, i'm already down to 98 but I can make it 97! One's on it's way with chocolate butter icing.
Thanks for the advice about times. I think i'll have to keep her bedtime as it is because she's always shattered in the morning. If she could get to sleep quicker i'd let her go to bed later (if that makes sense) but you can lead a child to bed but you can't make it sleep!
Pigpen - did you find the ebay item you lost? How long would you give an ebayer to send an item. I'm still waiting for my bird feeder and I paid for it last Thursday. I've sent an email and am waiting! Mmmm, the item you lost wasn't a bird feeder was it?0 -
Phew! Reached the end of the thread, and DH still not in, but i feel better since eating my dinner - chilli and rice - YUM!!
moggins lovely to see you. Hope you are doing well. You still working? If so, i know what you mean about it then ending up spending a fortune on the kids to make up for it, we are forever buying nice food for the weekend as a treat as we have barely seen the boy all week
AnW's mum sorry you had such a bad day yesterday. Glad today was easier to take in your stride even if work was a bit of a PITA.
pigpen sorry your DD is poorly - hopefully it is a short lived thing and you enjoy the time with her tomorrow.
Cross-stitch - i have a good few that i haven't touched since going back to work - meant to be for Charlie's bedroom wall but has not been touched since he was very little. I did make him a latch hook rug when I was pregnant last time. I love craft projects, but when i am working on school stuff till after 10 most nights and also on here, not much time for hobbies. I have read a lot recently, but only cos we need to clear some shelf space urgently since getting new stuff at xmas, so i have been reading some of the books i know i won't want to read again so they can then go to the charity shop. Perhaps i might try to use my time more productively once the new bubs is in a bit of a routine. Or perhaps things might then be even harder.
Anyway, may try and do some writing on my lab plan for the week back after half term - at least do a bit of it so i have handed it inbut as the lab tech is one of my bestest friends she is not fussed if i then add or take things off it, and seems though i have to go onto school site every day to drop charlie off, then it makes sense to not stress and just do it next monday properly.
DH will hopefully be in soon, and then i will have to empty the WM and hang up on airers, and bath and earliesh night again. Hopefully tomorrow will go really quickly and i will get some of that marking pile sorted.
Michelle, x0 -
My list tomorrow consists of;
- bake birthday cake for Saturday night
- generaly S/S throughout house ready for party on Saturday.
Children tidy and vacuum their own rooms so i'll just run a duster round at some point over the weekend. Nice list, thanks Pigpen xx0 -
Mudbath - you was only making 48 cakes a few pages back! So you have 52 spare - toss us one love!
Bedtimes - like most things under my rule varies very much on my mood and the chaos. eg
Monday DS3 8:08 after I have done the cricket run
DS2 the same time
DS1 not home until 9:30 so about 10:00
Wednesday
DS3 8:08 after I have done the football run
DS1 and 2 9:00 when they get home and have stuffed their faces
Thursday
DS2 and 3 8:20
DS1 9:00
as you see 8:08 is the magic number.
Need to choose a tone for my new lidl bell - fav so far is a cuckooThe birds of sadness may fly overhead but don't let them nest in your hair0 -
Right.. 81 things listed on ebay... now I MUST go do somethign else.. and that dos not include ringing my mother and saying oh ok I'll come to pub with you in that long suffering tone I have mastered!!!
Tiddles wrecked her shoes jumping in puddles yesterday.. minx!! The sole has peeled right off now they are dry.. cobblers tomorrow then!!!LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0 -
Jb was dosed again and sent to bed.. she brightened up a little at 4:30 after her 3:30 dosing.. hopefully she'll get through the nigt without snotting al over herself.. 2 have mine have the most phenomenal snotting capabilities..
bother.. I have a nail appointment in the morning.. what do I do with her???
DD1 (13) will be home.. but do I risk leaving her with Jb (5) who is an angel.. for 40 minutes.. she really is the best behaved child I have known! Today she has just flopped on the sofa but even on a well day if she has a film to watch to doesn't move.. Actually, it probably wouldn't be anything like that long.. hubby would be here most of that time..
No.. I'll make hubby stay home with her.. I'll have to leave them to do the nursery pick up at 12 as it is.. I'm not doing it twice.. I will only be out about 20 minutes then though.
When I was 13 I used to look after a family with 4 children under 5.. their dog AND its 12 puppies on several occasions!! Ah.. the joys of the 80's and council estates!! PMSL!!!
Ok.. that decided.. I am going to pick off my broken nail and remove my nail polish and go to bed early!!! .. did you see me type that word?? As from Monday I will be joining you again but taking babysteps. My job has proved to be really stressful and emotionally draining but I must do something to sort life out again.
It's weird having spare money but no time to enjoy it0 -
Evening all
Hows everyone's Lent things going ?
I have been ultra good today :A and my snacks have been - mango and yoghurt this morning, a satsuma this afternoon, and kiwi, grape and banana this evening
Had another headache today, this time brought on by shouting at DD1 who has been in one of those ultra whiny moany voice moods crying at the least thing all day. She was sent to bed in disgrace for being caught trying to stand on the baby's legs  last week she was caught pinching the baby's nose and has been caught leaning her full weight on baby's tummy too. aaarrghhhhh I know its all a combination of attention and jealousy but its driving me CRAZY.
michelle - thats a lovely idea about the stamps for Charlie, the Bond ones sound great
AnW's Mum: I swear W and my DS are clones. DS had hearing troubles a few years ago, nursery raised it, I always thought it was a bit swelective as he would totally ignore me all the time but if I whispered "biscuit" across a crowded room he'd hear it :rotfl: seriously though, he had several hearign tests at the childrens audiology department at our local hospital, it was ultra quiet in there so no chance of distraction. Could your GP refer him to be extra sure ? My friends 5 yr old daughter had grommets in recently and after a few weeks they noticed a massive difference in her hearing, and it all seemed fairly straightfirward HTH
Pink Fairy - love the idea of rosemary for remembrance, that's lovely
Dusty - dont think of yourself as a failure. You are nbot superhuman, as you say there are only so many hours in the day and only so much you can do. It will wait till next week (or the week after ..) (((hugs)))
And yes, our primary lets you video/take photos. As did preschool , and nursery.
lg - would love to say headache caused by cutting out the chocolate but I only cut it out about 2 minutes before that post :rotfl:
