  • Evening - just doing yet another flying visit while dinner is cooking. DH is not home yet, so i am just doing it to eat when ready as i am hungry. I have had a funny sort of day, where the first part of it was incredibly productive, but then the whole world seemed to want to talk to me or have a nervous breakdown on me, then i had a big issue with a kid, and spent half an hour trying to sort that out but not getting anywhere with it. So will still need to deal with that before we break up tomorrow. I am going to lock myself in my room i think tomorrow as i am not teaching till 12:50, but i do have a meeting in the morning, and i also have to meet the guy who i share the form group with's Mum as she is visiting him from Canada, and he wants to show her round. I will be polite then make my excuses i think.

Evening everyone. Just had dinner and am now being lazy on sofa while OH at footie.

tracyg - Hope the tea works for your IBS. Let me know how you get on. You will curse me when you smell it but, persevere - it has worked for everyone I've recommended it to! No milk or sugar needed.

I put MIL & FIL's boat up for sale today. Fingers crossed we get a good response from it - we get 5% if it sells and I really need to get as much money as possilbe saved for the wedding & honeymoon - every little helps!!

Right, I've got to pick up Sis in law to be at 10pm and it's an hour away so, better get myself ready to go..... (soon) :)

Hiya Moggins...i've heard a lot about you, welcome back.

I've got 99 cakes waiting to cool and iced for the morning. This time I was sensible and didn't put much mixture in the cake cases so they don't come over the top. This will keep the icing within the cake case - in theory. OMG i'm boring myself, lol! Yes, it should have been 100 but I had to taste one!

Going to give house a quick five minute frisk before DH lands. His plane is on time so I can watch trial and retribution without worrying about nightmares.

Gone are the days when i'd have to spend most of the day tidying up ready for him to come home!

Am I putting my children to bed to early?

DS is just turned 7. He's usually in bed between seven and half past and is asleep pretty quickly so I'm guessing this is ok for him.

DD is 8, 9 in April, she has to be in her room same time as DS but is allowed to read and do quiet things until 8. Lights are then off but she takes forever to get to sleep. Is this a bit early for a nearly 9 year old.

When do you guys put your little darlings to sleep? Thanks xx

Mudbath - could you send 98 please and one this way
AnW's - sorry about your hard day, thats the best attitude to have with work - leave it there. Hugs hunny xx
Dusty - Of course DS is only little but he was in a play at Christmas and there was a big sign basically saying 'cameras and videos welcome, if you don't want your child filmed, remove them from the play' why should everyone not be allowed, no one minded at all

Feeling a bit bad as DH looks quite ill now, he's laid out on the sofa with the basset (who actually looks nearly as long as DH), not quite sure what to do, if he carries on I'll have to see if the out of hours doctors will see him but what do I do with DS?

HI Mudbath, mine are 9 and 4 and still awake now! 4 yo shouldn't be but theres no way she'll sleep if she knows her brother is still awake in his room and it doesn't seem fair to put him to bed early just to get her to sleep. As long as they are up and lively in the morn when they should be, I don't worry too much, our 10yo cousin has to be in bed by 8pm as she's shattered and ready for bed, they're all different.

    Bedtimes.....
All my 4 go to bed at 8pm.
I have a 13, 12, 10 and 9 year old...It is as much for me as them. Sometimes they read, sometimes they mess about, but 8pm is bedtime...sometimes 8:30pm on the weekend..
    Gosh I'm an ogre...

Of course I can still remember putting them to bed at 5pm cause I'd had enough!!
The joys of lots of children!!
