Hi Julie Things are going okay, I need to get back to oldstyle big time though, I seem to becoming one of those mums who pay for their guilt by buying stuff for the kids. Bad mistake!! Miss you all though. I hope to be on here a little more often though. I need a big flying kick up the jacksy!

Hi Moggins, don't know if you remember me from my early flying days. We all owe you so much for your time setting us in order and to all those who have followed in your footsteps. It will be odd the boot being on the other foot.

Kids watching DVD of the school play I borrowed from another Mum - I'm too mean to buy it.
? we still have a lot of unrest at our primary due to the sudden decision that parents cannot video or photograph kids in school performances. School have given no reason just said others schools don't allow it - Does your primary? As many answers as possible would help me get an idea.

Hi Dusty, photos and video are allowed at our school, thats a pre-school, infant and junior in one school. The only request has been to stop filming if the little ones are getting distressed while doing nativity etc. Our local sports centre won't allow it tho, hope that helps.

    Hi everyone

Well work was mmmm how shall I say it..... interesting! One of the girls who is being moved to another branch was been off sick this week, my other mate is on holiday and that left 0 cashiers yesterday!  I arrived this morning and it was 'AnW can you do abc, do you know how to do xyz and we don't know where de or f lives' So with the aid of one cashier on relief I set about trying to put the branch back into some kind of order!!! BUT I did not get stressed about it and what is not done tonight is staying not done. I don't get paid enough to worry about such things, I am only a pleb at the end of the day.

Tomorrow is more of the same but my other mate will be in (she doesn't usually work Fri any more but needed to swap her days this week) She and I will have a laugh and make su we are supplied with :coffee: and biscuits or cake while we serve out adoring public ;)

Thanks for all the messages of support over the last couple of days, they are really appreciated.

Lovely to see you back moggins and those cross stitch are fantastic (forget if it was likklegibbon's pics) , like many others I have quite a few unfinished or even not started kits round here. One day I hope to get them out again. Did on of the West Riding of Yorkshire for my grandparents years ago.

I think this is a rediculous (sp) rule. I know in this day and age parents want to protect their kids from pedos etc, but that's taking it one step too far. Like not letting kids sit on santas knee in grottos anymore, its PC gone mad!
All parents want to do is take momentos of the first school play!!

dusty - not uncommon, because of all those parents who immediately flog the pictures to paedophiles or post them on youtube - and don't of course make any profit for the school. Another one of those rules that make me fume, as the overwhelming majority of parents are perfectly normal and law abiding....

AnW's mum - you're allowed a little wobbly time, hugs to be going on with

moggins - you've not been forgotten on here, there's an enquiry from time to time! Beware that pigpen currently has custody of the pink fluffy mules, and she'll be after you if you're letting down the good name of flyladies. Thank you also for getting me into this - my house is actually making such good progress that I have recently been able to redecorate the bedroom having spent the past year decluttering it.

    Love all the cross stitch!

Very little flying here today, as have been working, and am again tomorrow. I'll try to do a bit after work, and if I can find the energy, I'm going to do the bathroom in a minute. Maybe.

Evening ladies and hi to Moggins who I remember from when I only 'lurked' on this thread.
Hope everyone if fine and dandy this evening. I feel full of beans and lots happier now that I've got my job application out of the way; it loomed like a big black loomy thing.
Only two overheated vaccuum cleaners today I see, Shirley and Frankie..dare I get mine out this evening?
Going to sort my room out in a bit and some paperwork to do before Ashes to ashes at 9. I hope it's as good as the first series was. Someone else watched Torchwood last night ?Tia? I blubbed for ages about that poor alien whaley thing..am I getting soft in my old age or was it quite sad?

Either my WM cycle is getting shorter or I've been on here longer than I though...before I forget Raph, post mortem guy at work sticks bones in a bucket of boiling water and biological washing powder til he's happy with them. You gotta love science!

    Dusty,
Our primary head is very strongly against any ban, she said something like "You may have heard that some schools have banned filming, we don't behave like that here" and she got a huge cheer from the audience of parents. As a teacher, we have to ask parents for permission, but I have never known a parent refuse permission. To be honest, if a parent did refuse, then I would not cast them in the play, why should everyone else's pleasure be spoilt for one parent's paranoia?
Rant over, just don't ask me about flying (or lack of....)

Dusty - DD's primary banned it years ago, in 1998/99 when we lived in Edinburgh. The council decided on a blanket ban on all recording of school performances. They changed policy after an uproar! However, I had to sign hundreds of permission slips to allow DD to be filmed.

Moggins!!! - :hello: where have you been? Did you loose your original log in? xx
