Tracy - hope you're feeling better this morning xx Did you ever get your mob fixed?
G&B - did you make your curry without cream? And what are you putting on the crumpets? Just jam? I've given up chocolate and my parents have given up alcohol. DD is doing NOTHING! We agreed chocolate and she is playing on my bad memory, hmmmm, minx!
Jill - what have you given up for lent and how are you getting on?0 -
Am making my curry tonight, i found a tomato based recipe. Sounds quite nice, discovered naan contains milk, chapattis dont though:D And yup just jam on the crumpets, had maple syrup on one yesterday but it was way too sweet:o Am quite proud of myself so far, just another 37 days to go:eek:The trouble with the world is that the stupid are cocksure and the intelligent are full of doubt.Bertrand Russell0

Morning all - some good news to start off the day - fingers crossed, it looks like my dad will be discharged from the hospital this weekend with both feet still attached
- it just depends on whether they can find him a portable vacuum pump to keep the fluid levels in his foot from increasing. Thanks very much to everyone on this thread who have been thinking about the old codger - its really helped me, both practically and emotionally :grouphug: to be able to offload so that I could be supportive to my parents rather than going off on one - you are all wonderful
Tracy - have you shoved the OH back to work today? If not your new bedroom wall colour would probably cover blood stains
raph - well done on taking on a positive habit for Lent - I only wish I'd got nothing naughty to give up- with any luck by the time Lent has finished, it will be a habit
michelle - you must have one of those friendly "I won't tell you to push off" faces - remember your ME time and enjoy half term (but gently!!)
mudbath - 100 cakes - WOW - and very restrained of you to only have [strike]1[/strike] 2
God help DD1 if you're on one again today pigpen - she'll wish she's back at school - how's DD4 today?
Glad to see you back moggins
galant - I read that too that Anthea had been given the push because she was "too old" - what does that make Kim off How Clean is your House? Too old for sweet, too young to be a battleaxe
nice to see you back online soappie
GnB - good luck with the no dairy thing - you'll be a matchstick before Lent has finished
:hello: and a great Friday to everyone
I'm taking my ME time tomorrow morning and I'm gonna run and dance myself around the house in the nuddy because my windows will be finished- better not jump tho, cause I'll black my eyes - and I'll be able to do a proper HHE cause I'll be able to get to my crosstrainer again
I'd rather be watching CSI!0 -
LG I'm really pleased for him, fingers crossed his discharge goes to plan
http://www.nikibone.com/recipe/vegan/naanbread.htm for g&b, dairy free naans. Searching for Vegan recipes is sometimes easier when searching for dairy freehth.
Sorry as far as Lent goes, aswell as not being a religious person I'm giving up more than enough of my 'free time' at the moment and other things to go with it to crack on with my course, so not willing to give up anything else!! So you can pass all the chocolate, cheese and other nice things you are all giving up this way and I will help you resist them :rotfl:
Frankie, sounds like a tricky one to deal with, hope the talk has helped.
Sorry I much prefer Kim and Aggie to AntheaAnthea just irritates me, I did watch it to steal tips but eventually she got on my nerves. I thought she got the nudge when it came out that she employed cleaners etc.
Right washed 2 loads laundry and hung on airers, emptied dishwasher & started to refill. Internet and email time then crack straight on with work (by 10am,must be working as it's on my list) , when I find where DP has dumped the book I was working on......I left it on the desk because I was using it.....all the missing study materials have arrived so no excuses now. Going to do it now then he can do his study time when he gets up (trying to only need to have one PC with the software on) while I tackle the boys rooms, then do my dailies etc later before school pick up time.
One day I might be more organised...........

Likklegibbon thast great news about your dad
Well i'll have to tackle my list this evening, I've dogwalking this am and DDs at a party this pm. Won't do DS' s room as he wants to do it at the w/e and change his stuff around/have a clearout, he's hoping to sell on ebay but doesn't realize no one will buy a WWE figure with an arm missing!!!
Hope you all have a nice chilled FridayWW lost 33 lbs so far, [strike]13st1lb[/strike] [strike]12st13lbs[/strike] [STRIKE]11st12.5lbs[/STRIKE] 11st11lbs0 -
My motivation gets better at the end of the week, well more of a panic, because I know it's much harder getting things done with the boys at home (DP usually at work/away/asleep), aswell as that I want to have the time to do nice things with them, so I tend to slack at the start of the week then mad dash at the end.
galantvr4 I've seen stranger things sell on ebay......One day I might be more organised...........

Thats great news about your dad likklegibbon, i bet he recovers much faster at home;) Away from all the nasty hospital bugs:eek:The trouble with the world is that the stupid are cocksure and the intelligent are full of doubt.Bertrand Russell0 -
I find at the beginning of the week the house is such a mess after the weekend I have do something serious or I can't move...!
I like the children's room on a friday cause they usually tidy them and I just whizz through, feels like a nice easy day then....
I had a few words with DS before he went to school this morning....
I've done my list and a few things have been crossed off already. I'm just having a coffee, then I'm going to get the hoover out again. I need to start early with it cause it keeps overheating and I have to keep waiting till it cools down!!0
