  • Morning all,

Typed a long post then lost it. Let's try again.

Pen-Pin In your position, I would keep regular contact with your DSis, purely for the children's sake. The BF sounds a loser and will disappear as soon as the money has. I hope your DSis is on good terms with her neighbours or she may just find that one of them has shopped her to HMRC. You have said what is on your mind, I think you have to step back now and let matters take their course.
dlb hope your DS feels better soon. Sounds like he is getting some early practice in for "man flu". ;):D

Can't remember the other stuff but (((hugs))) to all who need/want one.

It's DD's turn to get up to a kitchen full of dirty dishes. She rolled around on the floor last night saying "I'm bored. What can I do?" Yet she chose not to do them so they will be the first thing she sees when she comes down this morning. :D

Both DS and DD will be doing their own ironing today too. It's time they started looking after themselves more so that is today's challenge. I'm fully prepared for the temper tantrums - I have Snow Patrol in the walkman and earphones at the ready. :D

DS is also making dinner today - a stir-fry, so not too taxing. It sounds as though I'm giving myself a day off but I'm sure this will actually be *more* work. :D

Need to have it all done before the Scotland v France game kicks off. I'm hoping for an upset today. Fingers crossed.

    Have a sunny Sunday. xx

Morning everyone. Sunny day here so hope the rain stays away. I have to shake out the dogs' beds from yesterday as they are all gritty from the mud that didn't come off when I rubbed them down after a very wet and muddy walk.
Plans for today - sort out and shred some old paperwork, hoover and maybe tackle some of the ironing pile.
I set Miss Marple to record yesterday so plan to have a cosy watch of that later on.
My plans are not too strenuous, are they??
    Have a lovely day all

    Morning All

At work again - and it's busy for a Sunday.

Went to bingo last night and broke even. Would've done better had the others not wanting to pool the winnings and split it equally. What really annoyed me is that it was split 4 ways and one person didn't win anything to put in there to begin with!

Going to see my sis later and then home for roast dinner. Will also continue reading as I really want to finish the book.

Done my daily clicks, off to explore competitions now

    Hope everyone's ok

    Morning all

We're all feeling decidedly naff at the house of Pooky - both DD's have stinking colds (again) and both DH and I are suffering with swimmy heads and dizziness - we all fell asleep yesterday afternoon for a couple of hours and were all in bed by 7pm - having a complete pj day today. There's cold pizza and quiche in the fridge to pick at later but no one wants to eat.

Luckily I did the ironing yesterday morning so all uniforms and shirts are done for the week - everything else will just have to wait.

Listed 45 items on ebay on Thursday night on 10 day auctions and have bids on 9 already - every item is being watched (always a good sign) and I've had loads of questions (most of them silly and if they'd read the details they'd have found the answers!!) Just realised though that when we moved all the spare packing materials I save for ebay, got chucked.........eeeek!!! Will have to get inventive!

Hope you all have a great day.

    Morning  :hello:

Had a lovely indian meal with a mate last night made even better with a 2 for 1 voucher they had sent us as a prize for filling in the questionnaire last time we went:j Not sure if it made any difference but we did mention how the waiters were very pleasant eye candy :rotfl: :rotfl: good old fickle men eh:D

Good to see Haribo back on form:rolleyes: but you would think she could put the heating on for poor ol pink everynow and then:eek: lol @ wuthering heights.

So the house is looking very very bad at the moment - you would be ashamed of me:o Still havent unpacked from the hols and the ironing pile if laid down piece by piece would stretch from mine to haribos house. So I guess I had better take off my holiday and party head and replace it with my microfibre and vinegar one:D. Visiting a friend later whos birthday was Friday so I need to pick a small pressy up on the way but other than that its a tidy up day and maybe a bit of ironing.

Donny gal - Wish I was where you are  next holiday not till next week but thats a whole other story

anniestar - :hello: dont go underground again please:D

    Have a lovely sunday all

  • Hi all, a beautiful sunny dayhere too, nice wind blowing so I'm hoping to snatch DD's sheets off her bed to wash when she FINALLY gets out of bed......

Not much else happening here with the Flitters, OH has to work today :( so another quiet day I hope. Have just had toast and my newly made marmalade for breakfast (OH christened it 'Marmalade Brulee since it was the colour and texture of treacle toffee, oops:rotfl: ) but actually if you ignore the charred bits it's quite edible.....

Not sure what's for lunch yet, have got to go and dig through the freezer in a moment, no roast here because I've run down the meat stocks to practically nothing now. Will have to stock up but am hoping to make it to the end of Feb before doing that.

Have a great day everyone. Hugs to those feeling low or ill.
