Thank you for sharing your pics.
This thread has given me a new enthusiasm for my house, we have had building work from Oct to Christmas (loft conversion - so NOT shabby chic with 2 adolescent boys in there!!! Only 5 years til uni then I can reclaim:rotfl: ) and since then I have lost interest in whole house.
Hopefully by [STRIKE]stealing[/STRIKE]borrowing lots of ideas from here I can make an impression on my home.:D

Reference clothespegs: I don't know if they still do, but IKEA used to do a set of 3 very large wooden clothespegs for about a pound, they were to be found near the noticeboards and magnets etc

They would be ideal for the tea towel ting, being vey large, sturdy and paintable.

They are not very good pictures, but this is them (I made fridge magnets from them):

  • Thanks for all the lovely comments everyone. :o

Pipkin....I know I'm lucky to have the sewing machine but you can still find them, though usually in a bad state. thatonehad to be restored.

Moanymoany..... The paint is a crown match pot in Mellow Green. One matchpot did all 3 projects. ;)

Champys.... Only time will tell if the clothespegs last but they are stuck on with No more Nails and I painted a few spare pegs just in case.

My next project is the utility room. I used to have baskets on the shelf that now has the demijohns and housekeeping box but IMO they were too untidy. Really I want OH to fit shelves that are closer together so I can fill them with baskets that you can't see into.

Ah, I don't mind if it doesn't work Haribo, I just want to look at it and think happy thoughts (I'm silly). :D

  • I had such fun making the clay hearts and gingerbread man that I think I'll do a few more small ones and turn them into fridge magnets. Those clothes pegs from Ikea are great Pipkin.

What a lovely home you have, a pleasure to see it.

I have one of those sewing machines, it's hiding in a cupboard.

I've heard of stuffing things behind the door but this is ridiculous. :D
Don't worry about the world coming to an end today. It's already tomorrow in Australia. ;)
