Yes, you're right, your uni work must take priority even over shabby chic'ing! look forward to seeing you join up when you can... don't throw the string away. You always need string!

A lurker reveals herself lol.
I've been reading this thread for a few days now and wow you are all very talented and i have loved looking at your photos.
I'm moving in 3 weeks from a grubby cold little flat into a terraced house and can't wait to start shabby chic'ing and thanks to yourselves i've got heaps of inspiration.
So far i've bought 4 lovely white crocheted cushion covers and 2 lovely crisp white linen covers all for £2.50 at a charity shop.
I've ordered some esp paintand can't wait to paint my tired old bedroom furniture.
I've also signed up to your forum and can't wait to get more inspiration.
Thank you all for getting my imagination fired up :T

Hi Tuttifrutti! :hello:
Well, for all you who remember, some years ago:rotfl:I began to redo a chair which I'd saved from a pub throw out. So now I have before an (almost) after:
Any ideas how I actually fix the fabric: would staples be okay?

That looks wonderful! I'd have thought staple would be fine, although personally I think I'd use tacks. (Just personal preference)0

That looks really lovely, you've worked hard.
How about a glue gun to fix the fabric, it's easy to pull away when you want a change, not htat you'll want one for a long time after all that hard work.:TWomen and cats will do as they please and men and dogs should get used to it.;)
