sand it down, paint it, and then decupage some preatty pictures onto it???

you can choose almost any pics you want, spray them with shellac (? spelling), and then about 6 coats of varnish on it....

Oooh thanks both. This'll be the first thing I've shabbied up (down? lol). There's a fine line between shabby chic and full on barbie chintz and I want to make sure I get it right :D

We're going to rip the whole kitchen out soon, I hate fitted kitchens. I might put the table in there so I'll probably wait and match it to the room.

Some time ago, someone posted a request for ideas to transform a chipboard table (I can't find it now but I'm probably not looking properly :( ) Anyway, I wondered whether the lady got any replies? I've got a similar table and all I've ever thought to do with it was to cover it with a long tablecloth!! Hope you've all had/having a great weekend.

could you tile it and nail some fancy beading around the edges with panel pins.

Wow, I have been on this thread all weekend and I have just finished reading the lot!!
You are all such an amazing bunch, soooooo inspirational. I wish I had your energy.
I love doing little bits e.g. sewing simple curtains, quilts etc and I have painted a very simple little wooden chair in the spare bedroom, but the things you do are truly amazing.
Please don't leave me now that I've found you. It has taken me ages to join Flickr and registered to post as I am such a technophobe!!!!:j :j :j
I have even managed to do this!! lol

One other query for tonight: I have managed to see all your wonderful pix on Flickr, but I cannot manage to see Haribo's . Can anyone explain why please?
Am off to the charity shops tomorrow and TK Maxx to see if there is anything left!!!! Wish me luck.

Thanks for the welcome Squiggles. My eyes are so sore from being on here all weekend, think I better get a glass of wine and have a rest.

Any ideas on the picture query, cos I've heard so much about Haribo's design flair.
  • im not sure if shes taken them off as i went to have a look at them the other day and nothing came up..which was a shame as i loved having a nose round her house.so im thinking maybe haribo has taken them off flickr now..

it was a lovely house though!!!
