    One last question NEgirl, sorry!

Is it covered in papier mache type stuff? do you think it would be recoverable in a decopage type fashion as I'm not to sure about the current covering design (it's not the same as yours)?

dont apologise :) I have just had a quick feel and pick at it underneath and its covered in paper but not glazed or anything so i think it should be fine recovered in something else :) Off to have a look and see which one is available now......i will not buy, i will not buy, i will not............

it is a lovely piece of furniture pitty there wernt more photos,, as i am sure it looks as though there are small little casters on the bottom, or is just my eyesight...lol..

to be honest apart from trying to get the ring marks out i think i would keep that piece as it is...even though it would look great shabby chic'd

edit... just read the discription...yes it has got casters....that was a very expensive piece of furniture in its day... and i think there could be a fair bit of age to it..... might be wrong though as the photo doesnt do it any favours really
