Pamela Andersons house is to die for, I agree, it's the nicest I've ever seen on Cribs, all the rest just look like the same person decorated them.

I bought the family frame here in Germany from a shop for 10 euros, but I've seen them here in a german catalogue too, but for 25 euros, maybe one of the UK catalogues would have them? or a place like Au Naturel?

If not I could get you one and send it over, but it would cost with postage probably about the 25 pound mark (25 euros is about 17/18 pounds).

They do a similar frame with the word *love*.

Right ,third attempt to post keep losing them to cyberspace.
Are there any sites out there that show you how to paint furniture and redo/recycle stuff for your home. I also need to cover an old sofa would bedsheets be okay or do I need something thicker. I fancy cream furniture with duck egg blue and lemon soft furnishings. I'm loving this site, your homes are lovely.

As to painting furniture, all I have ever done is give it a wipe down to remove any grease and then painted with a satinwood paint for wood. Its always looked ok. In fact I have a bookcase in my classroom at the moment that was painted about 15 yrs ago for my son and its still looking okay.
Covering a sofa.....I've never had much luck with just throwing something over unless you are able to tuck it tightly in. Depends on the sofa but covers are fairly easy to make if you can sew. Using a check material makes it even easier.
We don't need to do it perfectly - good enough is exactly that GOOD ENOUGH.

Jinny, If you google ‘making sofa covers’ or similar you will get loads of results. Here are a couple -

I quite like the look of the last one. Its something I’ve been investigating myself as I have an old but comfy fireside chair that needs some tlc. I'm using part of a spare duvet (now cut up and washed ready) to re-upholster the arms, and will probably use a cream or dark rose pink sheet (I have way too much linen!)

I want to make covers that come off for washing, so may adapt the instructions when I get round to doing it. hth :)
... don't throw the string away. You always need string! :D

Ceridwen, I'm sorry to hear that you're having to deal with such a bad work situation; maybe its typical of most workplaces these days? I found myself in a similar situation 3 years ago, and the stress of it combined with health problems totally incapacitated me.

I hope you continue to find strength and comfort in spiritual things and of course this thread! ;)

I want to make a loose cover (That I can take off and wash) for this chair (below) but I haven't a clue how to, would it be very hard do you think?

If it would be would it be expensive to have one made?
