  • Pipkin - your house is lovely - I have the same clock as you - the huge one with the black frame!

I also love the 'Family' pic - and would love to know where I can get one?

P.S - Has anyone seen Pamela Anderson's house on Cribs? - To me it is a perfect example of shabby chic - lots of white wood, floral fabrics etc - it is gorgeous. I actually copied one of her ideas, I blew up some pics of my kids and printed them in black and white and had them framed in some french style cream frames.

P.P.S - I would love to post some pics, do I have to go through Photobucket or can I use photobox etc - if anyone can help me out I'd love to share x

    Hi Natlou,

If you don't have your own webspace you'll need to upload your pics to the internet.

There's a step by step guide to posting pics on MSE here

(like I do) you can create your own with some elbow grease.
Buy the old fashioned honey pine items of furniture second hand for a song (boot sale or small ads); sand them thoroughly (a proper electric sander helps a lot on the flat bits) and then Briwax them in medium oak colour. Pine I think looks good with the old fashioned Cath Kidston look and the spotty china etc.

Natlou - Pamela Anderson  but Shabby Chic :A .

  • I got some lovely spotty crockery from Tesco which looks very much like this from Cath Kidston http://www.cathkidston.co.uk/ProductList.aspx?cid=Dottyrange&pcidl=Homeware%2cChina&language=en-GB But not at that price, obviously! I didn't buy the mugs to match as I've got some nice blue with white spots mugs from Laura Ashley (£3.50 each in the sale) and cream with little sprigs of flowers from Matalan (£2 each).

I'm slowly building up my stash of Cath Kidston style goodies without costing me a fortune. :j
    Edited to add a photo:

  • Maypole - CRIBS is a programme on TV where they show you famous peoples houses. I don't have Sky, but I do have freeview and occasionally they show Cribs on the TMF channel. If you ever see the top 50 CRIBs countdown advertised, its worth watching just for Pam's house.

Ellidee - I agree with you about Pam Anderson  but I take it you've seen her house - not what you'd expect is it?

Pink-Winged - Thanks for the link - I'll definitely look at how to post some pics
