I am so pleased with it.I used Dulux non-drip satin in Full Moon as I had half a tin left from something else! I wanted a really shabby finish as that way I won't be bothered when my daughter isn't so gentle with it!So I really rubbed it back.
It's had a coat of Coloron liquid wax and I lined it with some Cath Kidston wallpaper we had left over. So all in all it cost me £8!!
P.S. I've scraped the windows since I took the photo too! I still have a few photos to post of my charity shop finds but I'll save them for tomorrow to keep the thread going!!
How fab is that! I love it. Have to keep my eyes open and find one to do myself!
I don't think there's any danger of this thread dying - I can't keep up with it! :rotfl:I love the ribbon on the curtain - simple, but effective.
And you can never have too much fabric.
Here's a pic for you, as we're looking at chairs (love them, by the way). This is a chair I was going to freecycle, but because of this thread I am now wondering whether I could shabbychic up. This was a longer term project, but this thread has got me going again. Problem is, it came from a pub selling off these for £3, and the fabric is welded on and I can't see how to recover it. Any ideas, or should I get shot of it?

Wish I had the energy to start a project, I have all these "not so shabby" idea's in my head but no time or energy to actually start something, where do you get the motivation to get the paintbrush/sewing machine out?Proud to be dealing with my debts Sealed pot challenge 180 £2 coins £184 2008 £1 a day challenge£100+ Nectar 4809/Boots 1724 Focus for 2008 Clear £1777.00 CC, [strike]£1000 [/strike]overdraft Holiday [strike]£525[/strike]:j CC recovery£976 NO SMOKING WK7 £2100

could you not slice off the fabric with a sharp stanley knife - i had to do that with one section of the telephone table/chair. Just slice it in the middle where the soft bit is and peel it back to where its welded to the chair then slice it away as close to the join as possible.
