I thought I would show you some of the things I have done today. Nothing special but here goes.
We have some very plain curtains - all we could afford when we left uni. I doubt we will be able to afford new ones for quite some time (well not the ones I have my eye on anyway) so I have jazzed them up by simply tying gingham ribbon around as a tie backs. I do plan to sew some on as a perm thing, but my sewing machine is on the blink.
When my husband melted the lid to this bottle (we were cleaning it to fill it full of home made lemon vodka) he wanted to throw it away. But I plonked this cheery sunflower in it to brighten up a dull spot.
I picked up these two pretty coasters for £2.50 the pair.Anyone fancy buying my degree? It will only cost you £18k.
May grocery challenge - target = £140
£2 coin savers club - started April 1st - so far £28!:D

I am hoping to pick another one up now to paint to sell. There was a similar one that sold for £92 on ebay last week.So it would be nice to make a bob or two!0 -
It's wallpaper and I just used a staple gun to attach it.The original backing was fabric so it wouldn't have stuck so well.I made sure that the staples are out of sight at the top, bottom, down the sides and along the line of the shelves.0

Love the coasters daisy and the way you brightened up a pair of curtains.
Can''t put piccys on as I don't have the camera to do it but I'll try and explain my curtains in computer room.
They're just plain lining curtains in a cream/beige colour and I picked up a voil panel from charity shop..........cream ruse and brown with sort of squirly design on -and stitched them on to the curtains about two thirds of the way down. Really brightens them up and they were cheap. Lining curtains were £1, voile was 50p..................:jMary
I'm creative -you can't expect me to be neat too !

Talking of brightening up curtains here is a pair I shabbied up with the help of my friend.
We attached a panel of vintage fabric across them.I was going to add some pink trim but never got around to it.
It's funny looking at that photo as the room has changed so much.It used to be our guest room and now it's my eldest's.She still has the curtains up but there is so much more in there!!0
