Quite pleased with my bargains from a local attic sale today. A cornishware storage jar (£1) it has a sort of brown mark on the outside but I can always display it the other way round lol. And a small shelving unit that I am going to paint - think it was probably made as a spice rack and thats what I'll use it for. So I have had my fix for today.:DAMAZON SELLERS CLUB MEMBER 0082 :hello:0

You could be right, although I thought that antique was over 100 years and vintage was over 25 (the last one may just be cars!)
Yes, I though an Antique had to be 100 or over. So that bloke is way off course is he not:rolleyes:0 -
Jamtart, it is possible to customise your blogger blog, by faffing with the html template you've been given, it's a bit trial and error, but it can be done.
Blogger has a great help group (I'm sure there is a link to it when you sign in to your blog ) where people will happily help you.
Here are 2 I customised myself using free graphics from the internet:

I think it will be going back on ebay this weekend! Also today, in the charity shop, there was a lovely glass dressing table set.... but when I went to pick it up it was covered in black hairs. I can imagine it sitting in someone room for years and years and their big black dog/cat/hairy housekeeper coming in and scratching hairs everywhere and the whole place never being cleaned. I know it's stupid and everything looks better with a good scrub but I honestly couldn't even pick it up....
But I have to say that the one and only time I ever went to Haven I couldn't bring myself to sleep on their mattresses either (they were rank) so maybe I'm just overly fussy!!
Would you be able to squeeze your quilt into a freezer? Sounds weird, but 30 mins - 1 hour in the freezer is supposed to get the smell out of old shoes so it migh work for your quilt.0 -
Hi Guys,
I am trying to set up my own blog, and am trying to add the blogs above (which I love to read) as my favorites on my own blog page... could someone advise me how to do it please? I am using google blog!!.
I may get wrong for posting this Q on here... not quite shabby chic question
Thanks!
Sorry for reposting my own post, but this is really frustrating me - and I still cant work out how to do it
. Anyone able to help me please? 0 -
If your blog is with blogger , when you sign in you should find a section called *customise* which should in several places give you the option to *add a page element*... if you pick the option to the side of your blog posts, then click on this a series of options will come up..choose *link list* and this will enable you to add as many links to blogs/webpages as you like and you can give this list your own title too.
I don't know about non blogger blogs though, sorry.M.A.C.A.W member number 39
