hi Girls, just over a week ago I posted a link to the little desk I won on Ebay. I finished the painting on Monday and took photo's of it but as I just went to up load them I realised hubby had taken off the software for my camera when he restored the pc at the weekend! I have just had to go and get some pics on my mobile, so not as clear but here goes.
Before.

and after.
Hope this works...and please no comments about the vulgar carpets! It's rented property!!!!
Lovely desk, carpets take me back to my student days!0 -

Don't know if this link has been posted. I found it accidently while looking for 'patchwork projects' There are some great ideas in the craft sections for all sorts of themes and loads of photos which I'm sure will inspire. I can't stop looking through it all.

Yes it is and YES it has! I did buy two small bits to start off with (a serving tray and a egg rack) but TBH they took second place to the desk in the end and are still waiting to be varnished. I have told hubby we NEED a dresser or old kitchen cupboard now to keep all the extra stuff that keeps falling out of our very small kitchen cupboards.:rotfl:£2 savers club. No.90. Aim £500.0 -

I have been looking for a nest of atbles how didi you find out about your local auction ? was it good? did you feel awkward going? do you mind if i ask how much you paid?
I saw some in a charity shop yetsreday but they were asking £40 that was a bit too much for me cos knowing me i will mess it up painting it!!!
Hi Anne! Auction is on every week here. I didn't bid in person as I cant be bothered waiting around for hours for the item I'm after to come under the hammer! So I filled in one of the forms where you put in the maximum you're prepared to pay and they bid on your behalf up to that amount. I paid £11. I think £40 is a bit much, auctioneer said they go for around £10-15. HTH:DAMAZON SELLERS CLUB MEMBER 0082 :hello:0 -

That made me smile. That's a very old WW2 tip. My gran had instructions for chair pads, tea cosy, pinny - all made from tea towels. She was very glad to replace them with something decent as soon as fabric rationing ended !.....................I'm smiling because I have no idea what's going on ...:)

I got a framed sampler beautifully embroidered by a 10 year old girl in 1842 for £5 from the charity shop yesterday. I also got a Gresley mixing bowl for £2.Mortgage and Debt free but need to increase savings pot. :think:0
