My goodness!!!!
I picked up one similar to this one last weekend, only mine has two cupboards at the side as well so is about 2x the width, but it also has beautiful etched glass on the top cupboards - all for the grand sum of £16.00.
I can't believe they are asking just shy of £300.
I have had to become a watcher on the auction, just to see if they get this amount!0 -
Anyone else tempted to email the seller and ask if they made an error with the starting price and meant £29.99?

i think possibly the seller of that kitchen larder is stuck in a bit of a time/price warp...lol....
about 10 - 15 plus years ago.... these larders were all the rage in the states.. so were fetching big money as the exporters wanted them....
these were ideal for those tiny inner city flats......opps i mean apartments in multi story blocks..
even though they were bringing big money back then... they were no where near the price this ebayer is asking....
maybe its the sinario a little knowledge...is a dangerous thing, or in this case the guy down the pub said they were worth a bit..... and they have just thought of a price, doubled it and added 99p on the end...lol...:rotfl:
and to be honest its not even one of the better ones.... total bog basic as what i can see....Work to live= not live to work0 -
I gave in to temptation and e-mailed to ask if seller really was asking the best part of £300 for it or if it was a typo - will let you know if I get an answer!0

This one is currently only 99p

Maybe they are MSE-ers and have read this thread. Seeing that other posters have been buying them / looking for them then they thought they could make a killing!
Go on, email them - I dare you (dont forget to let us know what they say!)0 -

I''ve picked up a nest of tables at auction today:o. I'm really not going to be popular with my OH!!
I've got a question, on this sort of shiny finish is sanding enough to give a key for the paint or should I be thinking of stripping the finish off? I've given it a light sanding and it still feels very smooth and shiny - what do you think?AMAZON SELLERS CLUB MEMBER 0082 :hello:0
