    Looks lovely SandieB. I saw one of those really old tins in my charity shop yesterday but wasn't sure what I'd do with it! Those look lovely though.

    None of the tins is really old. I think the oldest is the red tin I bought at Vienna airport, full of lovely cocoa. Top left is a used olive oil can and the others held Amaretti biscuits. Top right red one is M&S one I had at Christmas from my niece, full of fudge! (Although not any longer).

    I've used the leaves with PVA, both sides, wait until it dries out then just gently wipe clean.

    I also have 2 Lloyd loom washing baskets and both I have spray painted very successfully and for any user looking for large items on Ebay near to home check out here. http://www.localbargainfinder.co.uk/

  • sandib .. i love your shelves..they are just what im looking for to display my ods and sods in my kitchen.. as they look quite chunky...were did you get them from???

    this is a little wall shelf OH made for me and painted, we'd looked around junk shops and they wanted too much so he got his tools out and I have this :D

    WELL DONE..... was certainly a bargain and looks good too
    We don't need to do it perfectly - good enough is exactly that GOOD ENOUGH.
