I know, some of them are just ridiculous. This one that I go to is HUGE and they sell loads of furniture. Some of it seems a bit OTT but a lot of it is cheap as chips :j They have a huge turnover so I think that's why - as fast as stuff comes in it's sold though. I saw a lovely lovely pine dresser in there yesterday but it already had a sold sticker on it, and I'd only been in the day before

That sewing box that I've painted cost me £3. This footstool yesterday was free because someone had left it outside in the rain as it didn't have a fire label on it :T

It sounds like my favourite charity shop http://www.emmausmossley.org.uk/ there is always something to buy.The number of times I've found something then gone home to measure and gone back and it's been sold! I've even been beaten to a cupboard once when I was in the shop.Another lady asked the price first as I was stood waiting by it.I was gutted!! So now I try to keep a note of sizes and just buy things when I see them!

I think they're going to go for a lot more as there's a few days left yet too.

p.s. MSE is working fine for me on Internet Explorer but I'm having problems with firefox for some reason.

    Help ?????
I'm at stage four of painting my little cupboard..........last coat of paint is dry so out came the magical pva glue and my skeleton leaves.............I know they're always a problem to glue but I've had such problems with them..........ended up putting the pva glue on both sides of the leaf -because they're 'see through' anyway the glue goes straight through. So far they're holding.............I'm just hoping they stay that way ! I've used these leaves before but if I remember rightly I used wallpaper paste the last time. Anyone else ever used them before ???

Thanks Mary, Good Luck with your leaves.

Seakay I just use Fiddes Wax polish. Just remember although it's clear wax it does darken the paint just a little but buffs to a lovely soft shine and protects the paint.

The dresser top I got on Freecycle didn't fit the gap in the utility room, but OH has put up these painted pine shelves instead and I'm delighted with the result.

Sorry the photo is so BIG.
