Thanks Aussielass for being blunt. Have had a quick go at the room. It already looks better but there's still a long way to go

:o It looks way better already vivw. Ok...........now that you know me better :D I'd get rid of that orange container on the bench too. :p It doesn't really blend in with anything in your kitchen. Sticks out like a pimple on a bum. :D
Don't worry about the world coming to an end today. It's already tomorrow in Australia. ;)

That orange container is actually two tubs of Jacobs crackers bought very cheaply after Christmas....but looking at the photo, you are right....it does stand out rather!

AussieLass, they are now gone. I emptied a drawer by resorting items and put one of the boxes in there and the other box I emptied into a lock and lock container. So one orange box out of sight, and the other in the recycle bin....thanks

    Morning Girls......
My My My what exciting projects are on the go, everyone is doing such brillant stuff. Sadly my pregnancy tiredness has kicked in and having to slow things down:D but I still managed to collect these little gems from freecycle yesterday
this lovely little elm table that I shall leave well alone just a bit of a polish...

and this unusual cabinet, I think it must of been an old radio/record player cabinet and I can't decide what to do with it. Any ideas??? I was thinking about putting my knitting stuff in it, needles in the top current wool in the bottom but it doesn't sit well in any of my rooms so its been renegaded to the pantry at the moment.

Right off to a pile of ironing & I need to bind 2 books of drawings for teachers leaving presents all by the end of play today!!!!

Have been lurking from day 1 and am really enjoying this thread and looking at all your ideas. Had to pop on when I caught sight of these though as that table looks Georgian to me so may be interesting to check out the value. And I think the little cupboard is for hiding the chamber pot in a bedroom. I am no expert mind you.
Mortgage and Debt free but need to increase savings pot.

Vivw: You've done really well on the declutter. It's sometimes so difficult to get motivated. But a little bit of work and it's looking better already. Take a fresh look in the morning, and I'm sure you'll see something else you can tuck away. Are the cupboards all full?

Thanks for the encouragement. The cupboards are all full so I think that is where I need to concentrate ....go through all the contents and be ruthless. Can't do it until tonight as I'm just about to go off to work......thanks again
