How do you all do it!!?? I know I am not the only 1 here with 4 children, my youngest is only 3 months and still needs feeding several times in day (which only I can do;) ), so thats my excuse!!!
I am getting a bit frustrated that all my ideas (ok other peoples ideas!!!) are having to stay in my head cos of running out of time!!
You sound like your doing a great job boysmum, I never got anything done when the boys were young and now its a full time job clearing up after them! I must admit though I definately still wouldn't pass the white glove test!!:D
I found by wrting ideas, cuttings, samples etc & keeping them in a box file made me feel I was doing something! + flicking through my country living mags kept me sane when chaos surrounded me:rotfl:simplicity is key0 -
look what i just won on ebay, i'm going to put 1 up in my lounge and 3 in my hall, not sure what i will do with the other might give it DD. http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=260218773412Back on MSE again! to take control of my finances and not let it control me. :T May grocery challenge £41.96/1400

Thanks for your messages of support....I have got 1 coat of paint on a shelf unit today - baby now asleep but am I ironing??? Obviously not:rotfl:
I know I am hard on myself - the builders left my house when DS4 was 5 days old and I think I expected to be able to do the pretty side of things when in reality I am still cleaning up dust from bare plaster walls!!!
Think I will have to be happy with the thinking stage of things for the next year or so.
facepainter - you must be from my neck of the woods going by the glass cabinet you were looking at:D0 -

I saw huge rolls of Vlislene in Trago Mills todayit is more like a stiff iron on bonding material in white
you can get different weights in it at £4.35 pm

I've just remembered someone's home who I think you all might like.

She has an online shop selling vintage fabrics too.I've never had enough pennies to buy any though!0 -
It's done! Just popped on very quickly to thank you for all your encouragement and advice. The patchwork wall looks stunning, and I managed to finish just in time for dd2's return. I almost cried when I saw her face. She was so thrilled. Now dd1 wants the same, only her wall is much bigger. But she said she'd also be happy with a Laura Ashley paper on one wall as the LA papers are so pretty. All under discussion, as I also want to attack my understairs cupboards.
I adore this thread.
Thanks for the links: going off to explore them now for an indulgent 10 mins with my cup of well-deserved tea.
Thanks all for your inspiration. x

I was in Dunelm this morning and saw some lovely crocheted bedcovers. They were reduced down to 4.99 and they were like a giant doyley, IYKWIM and were in a white cotton. Lovely for folding over the bottom of a bed or across the back of a sofa.0
