Is it my imagination or is this dresser lopsided? There seem to be quite a few bids on it

Could be just that the picture has been taken in a wonky fashion, I would email the seller before bidding though.

Thanks to the great kindness of vintagepleasure I can now give the link to my pics. This is after spending three months doing up the house to sell it. I had many of the items but the house has been dolled up and the things placed for maximum effect.

Once again a very special thank you for vintagepleasure.

I have just set up one of these accounts and I have added one photo as a tester. Can you tell me, how do I put a link on here if I want to you to see some pics?

Oh Viv, I'm jumping on that charity shop bus, I shall be posting today's finds on my blog later...

Edit - my purchases for today here if you fancy a peek

Loved seeing your purchases, but then scrolled down and saw the sofa - how do you do that?! It looks great. When I say cover I usually mean chuck on a throw, but you seem to have made a patchwork loose cover!

Any tips? Do you make paper patterns or fold material to fit? How do make the right allowance so that it doesn't rip at the seams when you sit down?

Yes, I'd love to know too - I've been coveting a Squint sofa, but wondering if I could do it myself after seeing yours. It looks fab

I've just bit the bullet and listed some stuff on Ebay - I'm terrified!

I've been as honest and as fair as possible but am terrified it will all go dreadfully wrong!

    Hi Pipkin
Don't worry - ebay is easy, but I remember the first thing I listed very clearly, and I was very nervous about wanting to be as honest as possible and missing something. However, I've never had a problem and I've met some lovely people when they've collected stuff I no longer have a home for. As a way of getting rid of old stuff, and getting a bit of money in for it, it's fine.
    I think you'll enjoy!
    Good luck with your listings.

    Hi Seakay
Thanks for your lovely comments, to be honest it's just a make do until I can upholster it properly (aka squint style) so its all a bit throw ;) together.

I don't bother with paper patterns just measure each area and cut fabric to fit the pin it on wrong side facing, remove & sew usually double stitching at corners. Although I have changed my mind and have sewn the patches onto a dust sheet the sweep left....as early preg symptoms have kicked in and I couldn't face luging out the sewing machine....
Or like my sofa in the lounge just take the loose cover off and stitch patches straight on. Means you can't take it off to clean but a quick hoover keep's it okay and I just add another patch if it gets dirty or stained...I often sit in it in the evenings watching the tv stitching the chair!! I'll post a pic when I've finished...

I think it looks like the photo's been taken with a wide angle lens to fit it all in the picture ( it's made it look a bit curved ) - but agree with Maypole & would check with the seller first!
