  • I have just this minute applied through Wentworth who have pre-approved me and are sending details. I must admit this is the first company that I have not researched before hand and now reading this I am concerned. They do not have any of my bank details etc. Should I just ignore their letter when it comes?

Whilst we are on the subject of loans, I need a small loan (£400). I have a poor credit history but need this loan as I have been unemployed for 2 months and am finding it hard to meet all my payments (I do not get paid again for 4 weeks as I have just started my new job). A payday loan is not really helpful as when I get paid I will not be getting a full months wage and it will leave me with less than half of it for the month and I will again be in the same position.

    Please help :rotfl:

Sorry to dig up this post again.
but i've just applied on a website and they asked for my bank details as a identity check.

i did not put my debit card details in so they cannot take out the fee correct?

i too should of researched this company beforehand but in these financial times there is plenty of error to be made.

Well they're going to struggle if you didn't divulge your bank details.
  • I have same problem. I have applied the loan online recently. I read the reviews as well but my friend showed me good reviews about them and people are happy receiving loan so I applied. They called me and explained me everything about loan for £15000 with the APR of 22%. I agreed and paid £69 as broker fees with the promise of if I dont go for loan futher I can have my money back within 14 days. I received letter next day about approval of loan.
Same day received the letter for Ralph Marlon limited from Leeds, with the form attach to fill with details and send the documents like payslips, utility bills copies. I sent that as well.

Now today I received another letter from Ralph Marlon Limited that they have found the lender and lender is ready to pay £5000 (instead of £15000) with the 68.7% APR (instead of 22% which was told and advertise by Wentworth originally) and + £995:eek: lender fees which never been told by Wentworth anywhere.

I am going to apply for refund tomorrow. Dont know what will they gona do. I am applying refund within 14 days time, So will be ok....

What suggestions you people can give me if I wont receive letter from them?

    Please reply,

I really wouldn't mind if people actually posted, similar to.

"I went for a loan with them, but I must admit I didn't read the T&C's and just ticked the box.

I now realise that if I had read the T&C's I would have seen a broker fee is charge, that it is upfront and that they don't actually provider the loan, they just try to find a loan for us.

I realise I have been stupid in not reading the T&C's but would now like my money back what can I do."

Perfectly acceptable as not everyone reads T&C's I understand that, but by just lying saying I never signed anything to say a fee was charged etc, sorry but no why lie, just admit you've haven't read them.
  • In my case they checked with me three times that are you ok to pay broker fees now or I will send you a letter, than you can put the card number in and accept that you want to process loan and want to pay the broker fee, but it will take time so if you want to pay now on phone it will be more quicker. So I accepted and paid the money. But they told within 14 days I am eligible to get my refund.

I was ripped off by wentworth direct - I cannot be any clearer - DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!!

I am in the process of trying to get their so called brokers fee returned - wish me luck :)

i nearly took loan out with wentworth i don't think they have took money out of my account as yet, they told me i could have £3000 over 36 months at £114 a month, then they asked me for a fee i haven't paid as yet, but i've since been told i can only have £2000, i'm not taking loan with them and i will follow you into getting my money back if they take anything from my account..

Goodluck getting your money back...... people like this need to be stopped ..

So do people happy to agree a 15,000 loan at 22% need to be stopped. They're insane.

Getting robbed of 69 is the best thing that has ever happened to pinkash2002
