That's lovely - you must be very pleased with it - you certainly won't be cold now :)

    Thank you!

It is very warm.  I had to wait 3 days for it to cool down enough to wear.   :)  There were a few days when I was working on the yoke when it was just too hot to knit on this jumper.  Fortunately, I always have a pair of socks on the go.

I was going to say were you having to put it away till the autumn, as it's quite warm now (which it is in the South-East), but then thought that maybe you live in some Northern cold exposed area !

I’m in West London, @judexx.  From the day I cast on, it’s been warm enough to wear shorts every day.  (Thank heaven for working from home.)  Yes, it’s been tucked away carefully for now.

That is beautiful, @Savvy_Sue. They look quite realistic in the photo.

thanks to the encouragement of you all, i have been knitting quite steadily and i AM getting better.  I even accomplished a small patch of rib knit (after my non-knitting husband informed me i'd been doing it wrong for a week...and he was right!  grrrr. :) )  Finished a scarf for a grandson for next winter, an infinity scarf for me and I'm beginning a hooded cowl for my daughter.  We live in the cold part of the US and it frequently gets below 0*C.    I'm also working on a very simple square hat for the grandson. (Obviously, I am easily bored and switch projects often)

Many of us have more than one project  on the go. I'm  knitting  fingerless gloves for DD, an Aran cardigan for DGD and a blanket in squares. If I know I'm  unlikely  to be interrupted  I'll  work on the cardigan as it's  quite a complicated pattern  and I don't  want to get half way along a row and then distracted.  The squares are for filling in odd moments. Pre -covid I would usually have a small piece of  knitting  in a bag to take on the train as well.

@snowbird20 I was wondering if you were Canadian.  Our snowbirds are panicking they wont' be able to head to Arizona in 3 months time.  My husband is checking international flight details because we spend February in Spain.

A hooded cowl thing is in my to do pile.  Our DIL belongs to a historical reenactment group and she's found one that will fit her character.

@wondercollie  I actually live in central Maine--between Augusta and Bangor so ALMOST canada.  :)  in fact, we love to drive to Montreal for long weekends.   So we drive to Florida when we snowbird...we can make the trip in 2 days if we push it, 3 at a leisure pace.

The cowl turned into a beanie as the yarn cake was much shorter than i planned.  I will make a matching scarf for it, then do the cowl with another yarn.  Ladies can never have too many accessories, right?

@snowbird20 anywhere is good in the winter when it's -40!  We did the Mexico and Jamaica for a few years.  Discovered that we prefer southern Spain.  Weather is good runs around 24 when we go and minimal rain (maybe once while we are there)..  We like the shops, restaurants, people, and the beach walks.  Florida is too humid for me.

Right, knitting.  finished the mitred square blanket and managed a single crochet border.  My order from Hobbii arrived.  I wasn't really worried but was getting fed up of posters on FB saying they were ripped off.  Sheesh, when I was a child, six weeks from Europe was the norm.

I chicken out of the cardigan I was going to knit after fully reading the pattern.  I knew it was top down BUT and it's a big BUT, it turns out I had to do a steak for the button band.  I'm looking for a similar pattern.
