i've just noticed that the word i used in my post is not allowed - sorry!

the last word in the book title is the word for a female dog and rhymes with stitch - hope it doesn't offend anyone. Apparently it's a term from the 1950's referring to a knitting group that stitches and ...er, gossips.

Or you could just measure up for 'something else' and get carried away measuring and measure his hands.. then his nose.. then his head etc.. or is it just me that does wierd things like that?

Oh dear-you take me back to a time when a friend of mine was machine-knitting williewarmers-or so she claimed!

Maytaurus - thanks for that! I'm going to have a look right now. I love the knitted bunny - I have a DGD5yo who doesn't like chocolate (is she mad?!) so I want to make her something for Easter instead and the bunny looks fab!

I mentioned this book in my local wool shop and you would have thought I had introduced them to a super sized sex aid!

I don't think I'm on the same wavelength as them. So I don't feel guilty that yet another lot of yarn that I ordered online has arrived (at least, I don't feel guilty about not supporting local shops. Amount of yarn lying around = possible guilt trip)

Just to put it in black and white. Apart from any forgotten projects lurking in spare rooms etc, I have this year knitted one tiny sweater for DS, one tiny jacket for DS that needs to be finished off (collar & buttons sewn on), one tunic for me that has back, front and one sleeve finished and one sleeve cast on and three lots of yarn with three patterns raring to go. Those three patterns are all that are standing between me and nervous collapse.
    Always another chapter

If you've got a yarn shop nearby you might find that your best place to start as they often have a list of people. My sister used to knit for our local wool shop, not sure how much they charged for the service, though.

What is it that you want knitting, I can knit fashion scarfs!! if that is what you are looking for. Let me know
  • Where have all the knitters gone? I have had to dig you all out of page 8. I guess like me, you are all busy knitting.

The three babies I knitted for at the end of last year are all getting ready for new things. The trouble is, once I do something for one of them, they all want one. Well their mothers do!!!

I'm trying to surge ahead with yet another pink lacy cardigan and then there's lilac wool waiting to start a hooded jacket as the blue one I did was much coveted by that particular baby's auntie.

My card making has taken off this week too. I sold 19 yesterday and more are needed for that outlet so life is pretty busy at the moment.

Oh well, it stops the boredom taking over. How are you all getting on with your projects? Would love to hear all about them and better still see some piccies. 'Fraid that is a skill I have yet to conquer.

    Bella.
