Hi all Just lurking here today. You ladies are so talented really lovely work here. I love to knit as well, but would never be as good as so many on here. I find knitting so relaxing, and after tea each night I always get my knitting out, while watching t.v :) Have a good weekend everyone and keep warm x Margaret

There is some lovely work on this thread. I've been knitting for a few years now and I seem to be 'specializing' in baby clothes and toys. I love Alan Dart patterns and have knitting lots of his toys. At the moment I am crocheting a blanket (its actually a giant granny square but sshhh!! lol) I taught myself how to crochet off you tube and have now ventured into buying crochet books

    I'll post some pics soon.

I have just finished my Chinook scarf, first time I've tried a simple lace pattern, was not as scary as I'd imagined!
Am just doing a few hexipuffs for my beekeepers quilt.
(Sorry I can't work out how to post pics??)

Years ago (about 30!) I knitted a Christmas Tree jumper using double knit yarn with a sparkle in it. I did ribs in white, the body in red and the christmas tree motif on the front in green. I still have the pattern and I would like to knit this pattern again for a little girl for Christmas - I know it is months away!

I have found King Cole Glitz on line but I can't source the correct shade of green. Anyone know of any other DK yarn which has a sparkle through it?

Any suggestions please? Since December I have knitted 2 Jean Greenhowe dolls (Sally and Morag). 3 baby blankets, 3 baby cardigans, a traditional baby shawl and crocheted a cot blanket.

Apart from maybe knitting a christmas tree jumper I have no idea what to do next!

I have a fair amount of yarn stashed away but it is mostly yarn of differing types for scarves or baby yarn. No more babies due that I know of!

Thank you so much - as far as I can see the green looks just about right for the Christmas Tree! Will now have a browse to see where is best to buy on line.
