    Lovely scarf timehastoleme.
I brought some Katia Rocio Plus recently and 3/4 of the way through knitting the scarf came to a knot where two pieces had been joined together, the ends are a bit tangled so I'm going to lose quite a bit if I could join it together and also the colours won't match, would the shop refund or would they just class it as a natural flaw? I could try and join the pieces together but I'm a bit worried it would come undone =/

    Hi Ladies

I wonder if anyone can help please.

I decided to finish off a scarf which I started yonks ago! However, I've forgotten what the pattern is and I've done a few rows but it turned out wrong.

Can anyone tell me by looking at this pattern, what the pattern might be?

When I was unravelling the last few rows, the main bit of the pattern was knit 3, yarn to front, slip 1, but I can't get it to work out when I do the next row!

    Help!

  • At last I have found a short course in a local wool shop to teach me how to knit socks! Have always wanted to do this , but struggled with the instructions and you tube videos.
So hopefully will be mastering knitting with 5 needles and producing a pair of socks!

I would definitely take it back. My local wool shop have had problems with some of that frilly scarf wool and they were happy with people coming back as they could then get the shop money back from the wool manufacturer, especially if its happened to a lot of balls.

Looks similar to fishermans moss rib pattern

    Row 1: (right side) K3, * K3, P1; rep from * to last 3 sts; K3
    Row 2: K3, * K2, P1, K1; rep from * to last 3 sts; K3
These two rows form the pattern stitch

  • Have just started to knit and just made a chunky knit scarf for my daughter. Really pleased as not made anything before.
Could I have some advice please. I don't think my tension is right as the main part was fine but at the end of the row I always end up with a loose loop. I have looked on the web and the main thing people say is that this is common with beginners:eek:.
I also seem to start off casting on and it looks tight but then when I knit the next row it looks loose.

Sorry don't know how to post picture to show you. Hope this makes sense.

    Any advice would be appreciated.:)

Ive been knitting hipster hats like there is no tomorrow. At the moment I.have a toy Yoda on the needles for my father in law as no one was able to buy him one for Christmas. I also have a series of Unfinished Objects or UFO's that I would love to tackle this year,

I'd be interested in the advice to this as I too have recently started knitting. Made a scarf using very "hairy" wool before Christmas which hid a multitude of sins:rotfl:. I'm now knitting a chunky knit jacket and think I may have bitten off more than I can chew and have the same problems of loose stitches at the ends of rows.
