    Thanks :).

Quick tube socks for DS (well they would be quick if I hadn't been knitting other things along-side!).
He chose yarn (from stash) and pattern:

These ones were super easy as there isn't even a 'proper' heel, they are basically a tube, (made by shifting the pattern round a stitch every 4 rounds).

can i ask where you got the pattern please. As i said in an earlier post i dont often use one but given that I have never knit socks at all a pattern might actually be a good idea.

This is a bought pattern (in a Regia magazin) but I expect if you search for 'tube socks' you might get something similar for free. Sorry I cannot re-iterate the whole pattern ;).

  • Hi, A friend of mine has just started knitting and looking for a simple pattern for a v neck tank top (cricket type) for 3yr old boy. Can anyone recommend a website or pattern to look at?

    Thanks

If you join https://www.ravelry.com (free) you can search for patterns (online free/online paid/bought paid and so on) and see what other folks have made from the patterns, using different yarns etc.
If you search on ravelry search under tank-top, but also under vest, as a lot of these patterns are called vests on there. There seems to be some quite nice free ones and also a link to a lovely sirdar one, which you could likely get off e-bay or somewhere. Don't think I have any tank-top patterns or I would offer to send to you (DS getting bigger than a lot of the patterns go up to now!).
    Best of luck.
