If you follow the link for the blanket (off the Allfree knitting patterns site) and look at all Pickles' other patterns - scroll down on the left and they are all in English, they are beautiful and there are lots of them! I've just been drooling!

I've only had a quick look (I am in BIG danger of spending my life looking at knitting and thinking about knitting and never actually DOING any knitting!!!) but the Pickles "Bring-it-on baby blanket" is gooooorgeous

Quite agree. Had my head down for a couple of days - knitting!
First hat on circulars is blocking on basin. Don't like the ladders. Keep practising.

Done the back of third bright cardie for GD. I handed her the wool to look at the colour, she handed it back and said "knit it first Nanny". Guess she likes it then.

    Happy knitting!

i am guilty of never doing a tension square but always ending up with items a lot bigger than intended. so did one yesterday, its for a pair of fingerless gloves for dd2 for birthday but its supposed to be a 10 cm square on 4mm needles with 22 stitches and 31 rows. unfortunately it is more oblong than square and measure 13 coms long. what size needles should i change to for correct tension?

Finished my first 'Rivercat' sock....took a while as was laid aside to do other things (including other knitting!). Aim to do my second cherry sock today, lots of half pairs lol! Still have a partner for this one and for my blue stripe Regia socks too, also no doubt for any other I decide to cast on lol!

    Great socks again Orkneystar!!

Love the Pickles Breezy Blanket..uses the same seafoam pattern that I used for
this scarf....love her other patterns too...mustn't look at any more just now, as have loads of things to do today!

I won't be doing the evening clases at college next term, as I have taken Voluntary Redundancy instead, which involves agreeing not to work there for two years (except for invigilating).

They money was waaaaay more than I was expecting and a good lot more than I would have earned with 5 nights teaching per term.

I was rather sad on Friday when I made the decision, but contemplatng setting up my own business to teach various crafts...not just knitting. I hope to make and sell stuff as well, so an exciting time ahead for me!!!

Off to have a think and get some things down on paper...scary!!!

Have a good weekend everyone...soggy today.

maganan - I always knit both sleeves at the same time, makes sure they are the same length. Not that this will work if you are using DPNs though! :D

Not been knitting much lately...must get going again soon.

    Night, night all.

Exciting times Keiss 21! Go for it.

Third little cardie in King Cole Splash ready for bands and sewing up. Would have done yesterday, but watched the tele. Mindless knitting, tennis and a bag of jelly babies. Life is cosy sometimes!:)

Still practising with circulars on little hats. Didn't like the ladders with magic loop. Second one with travelling loop is much neater. Might be ready to tackle a simple jumper on them soon.

Well done NJ - I've never tried magic Loop.

Just finished my first crochet project. A Neckwarmer for my sister. Done on a bifg hook with 4 strands of yarn, so only took an hour!

Well done, you know there is a crochet thread somewhere on OS too, so you can post a pic there too :) (not that we don't like seeing it of course, we do!).
I am currently flying through the second of my cherry socks, so happy to be making partners for the lone socks!
