Grrrr. I am attempting hat for GD with circulars for the first time. Understand the mechanics of magic loop. Will persevere. I know you have got to avoid "ladders" , but my gap is more like a gang plank for the QE2! Tell me it gets better with time, like the sock ladder thingy.

Hi all, hope someone can help me out? Can anyone recommend what wool i should be using for a child's blanket? And how many balls would i need for a cotbed blanket size? I know it's probably hard to say but a rough idea would be great! This would hopefully be my 2nd project after learning to knit again (since i was a child) and i would love to make a blanket each for my kids. Many thanks! :) Oh, and wonderful knits! You all are so talented wish i was up to your standards! x

I've NEVER gotten over the ladder thing...I just move a few stitches every few rounds to stop it from forming :D

    Thanks I love this blanket!

If you follow the link for the blanket (off the Allfree knitting patterns site) and look at all Pickles' other patterns - scroll down on the left and they are all in English, they are beautiful and there are lots of them! I've just been drooling!
