That looks fab. I was asleep all day with a migraine so no doubt I'll be up half the night. I'm currently halfway through the front of a one colour union jack cushion cover, and also knitting another ruffle scarf with grundl four seasons flamenco yarn, and also just started a similar scarf with grundly butterfly.

And of course, still sewing - results in cyberspace.
Could you tell me where you got the Union Jack pattern? I need inspriation for making a cushion for the Queen's diamond jubilee, that might fit the bill or does anyone have any other suggestion, please?

The cushion I've knitted I believe is going to be a kit on create and craft, but I can confirm that there is a whole pile of stuff in the Simply Knit supplement. I'm particularly taken with the royal crown tea cosy.

    Good morning all

I've been lurking on here again. Life's been a bit traumatic recently and I'm sorry I haven't got round to posting.

    However...........

Rowan have some free Union Jack Patterns on their site http://www.knitrowan.com/free-projects.aspx

I picked out these - but there may be others

    http://www.knitrowan.com/editorial-image/pdf/Union%20Jack%20Scarf1.pdf

    http://www.knitrowan.com/editorial-image/pdf/Union%20Jack%20Dress_.pdf

    http://www.knitrowan.com/editorial-image/pdf/Union%20Jack%20Cushion.pdf

These are all knitted in Rowan Purelife DK - an expensive option - but you could use any DK if you work out the meterage. The Rowan balls are 50g, 120m/131yds.

Happy clicking - enjoy today's sunshine!

    Just a good morning everyone,

Nice knitting going on! Mine has slowed down due to OH being out of work, and son's wedding in two weeks. Did crack and buy two balls of Ocean. Read somewhere on Rav it is the poor woman's Noro. Seemed quite expensive to me. But it has nearly become a lovely scarf (Baktus style). So it is probably my fault we are sweltering in sunshine! Will pack it away carefully for the snowy times. Will post pic when finished.

Went for coffee with OH's ex boss and wife yesterday. I hadn't met her before. But as soon as knitting was mentioned, that was it. Shall I say I feel much better about the amount of wool and patterns I have about the house now!
