    Hi,

Could anyone help me- I`ve done this bit three times and it still wont come out at the required number of stitches (12)!

Here is the pattern which I bought from Ravelry:

I`m stuck from the heel turning and end up with 15 stitches. Sorry if I`m not meant to copy this but if I dont put in all the details then I cant explain what I mean.

Could someone wiser than me shed any light on this- I`d be really grateful. I am otherwise quite pleased with the pattern and the s1k1 detail makes it really hard wearing and attractive.

    Hope someone can help please.....................!

The pattern is copyright - please don't reprint the whole thing here! Please edit your post so you only include the confusing lines, or remove the pattern altogether.

You are correct that the numbers don't work - but if you go back to the pattern page on Ravelry and click on the "comments" tab, you'll see that several other people have already pointed this out, and have made suggestions about how you can work it so that your stitch-numbers add up.

I bought some 100% wool today in a charity shop. Some is in hanks of a lovely rust colour, and a few balls of mauve-y colour. There is enough of the rust to knit an adult's jumper or cardi, but I don't have any idea of patterns. Would you suggest ravelry? Can I just put the name of the yarn in the search for patterns?
20 balls of wool at 50p each! I thought it was a bargain.
I also bought the magazine and have knitted the first square. Can;t wait to see when it gives more patterns to add to the blanket.

Yes - the pattern search is very thorough. You can search by the specific yarn, or by the yarn-weight (i.e. if it's double-knit or aran or whatever) and by the quantity you've got, as well as specifying the age/gender it's for and a whole load of design elements. You'll also find information about each yarn there, including reviews of it and items other people have made using it, and lots more.

Hi everyone, Not been on for a wee while but been knitting! I have been doing my red scarf/wrap, which I posted pictures of last time.
    I also made this:

    PIC_7848_medium.JPG
The yarn was a nightmare to roll in to balls and it also sheds like anything! However it is so soft and warm when knitted and a lovely shade (hubby bought me two skeins for Christmas and 7mm bamboo needles to match, though I ended up using 8mm).

I wonder if anyone who gets Let's Knit magazine can help.

I am knitting the Mel pattern from issue December 09. I have got to the shaping the shoulder on page 18 and before shaping I had to end so that the RS was facing but then it says next WS row for the next three rows so not sure if this is a misprint as otherwise I will end up with purl stitches on knit rows. I can't see anything obvious on the picture so don't know whether I should just carry on following the pattern.

    Can anyone help?

More scarves and a matching hat.

Used a standard beanie pattern and it came out huge, so had to put shirring elastic in!

Anyone have a hat pattern for eyelash yarn that isn't knitted on DPNs or circular needle please?

Orkney - love that scarf / wrap. Bet it's lovely to wear. Is it an online pattern by any chance?

I made the pattern up as I went along, to suit that specific wool.
