This is a bit of a long shot, but I wondered if anyone has by chance any left over Washed Haze Double Knit in the rust colour that was on special offer at Kemps. I think it was only something like 59p per ball.
My DD had knitted a child's cardi in the grey and bought the same quantity in rust to do the same pattern, same size. Unfortunately it just hasn't gone as far and she is stuck for the want of about half a ball.
If anyone has any of this, we'd happily pay - including the postage and packing of course.
Many thanks in anticipation.

Hi guys, just wondered......is it easy to learn to crochet? I've found a pattern to crochet a giraffe (my favourite animal!) but have never done any crochet. I can knit basic stuff.....very slowly!!!0

Good afternoon ladies. I'm asking for some help if possible please
I have bought some Teddy Pomp wool. It has an inch or so of coloured string then fluffy pom poms going along the length of yarn. I am a reasonably experienced knitter but am struggling casting on with this. Has anyone else had this problem or know how to solve it please?
I only want to make a scarf of 12sts wide so it's frustrating meThanks in anticipation.

I would knit mittens as they are easier and keep you warm. The finger bit on gloves are quite difficult. I've only tried once though, to be fair.
Fingerless gloves are another option - giving you the dexterity of gloves but without the hassle of knitting individual fingers. Even as a very experienced and fairly expert knitter, I find fingers on gloves to be a pain in the backside.0 -

After a lot of trial and error I found that if I could estimate where the "bars" fell, I could cast on with the thumb method. You have to be prepared to cast on quite loosely.
I do hope this is of some use.0 -

Just a quick note to say - don't go pulling out your stashes hunting for the above as someone on Ravelry has come up trumps :T. DD's Christmas will be perfect after all and Gawd bless us - everyone! :j

today i was able to get hold another bag of the exact same kit and was wondering whether i would we able to knit a pair of gloves to match. firstly they would have to be in plain knit stitch and then comes main problem, being i have never knitted a pair of gloves before.
Mittens. Every time. Easier to knit and actually far warmer than gloves.

You can always pop on here, give us the link of whichever pattern you are using and ask for help if you get stuck, but mittens were one of the first things I learned to knit that actually had a purpose in life. I was aobut 8 years old. You CAN do it.0 -
Is there anyone around who could help me with my sock knitting? I'm knitting socks using the sirdar crofter chunky - plain socks. I've knitted the leg section and started to divide up the stitches onto 2 needles (normal not round or double pointed needles) and a stitch holder but I'm stuck. It must be me being thick but I dont understand what I am supposed to do now. If anyone can help I will type instructions and a piccie of my knitting so far. Bit desperate now as I don't want to give up.0

I've never knitted socks on two needles and can't actually think how it would work. Can you type out the bit of the pattern where you are, or post a link to the pattern if it's online, and I'll have a look for you?
If I was knitting socks on double pointed needles, after knitting the leg I'd be knitting the heel flap so only working on about half the stitches.0
