:hello:
Snuggly Snowflake DK,
is the replacement for snuggly bubbly yarn
which has a DK weight
so as psso says
'You could use any double knitting pattern - just check your tension.'

Hi all.
I have found this pattern: http://www.knitonthenet.com/issue8/patterns/missmoneypenny/ but i cant find the wool.
I really like the rowan country wool but the tension for that wool is 10cm =14ROWS, 10CM = 10STITCHES on 9mm needles and the pattern says to use Twinkle Soft Chunky 8.5 sts & 10.5 rows to 10 cm on 10mm needles.
I am guessing that the rowan wool would make it too big??
What other wool could i use?Make £10 a day challenge March 2013 £101.24 / £240 :j

redballoon - could try knitting a tension square using smaller needles to see if you would then get the right number of stitches.0

Stash - that dirty word in my house! If you love the yarn I reckon go for it, because you'll find a use for it. But then you probably don't need someone encouraging you to stash - I certainly don't!0

RB if you are still thinking of the rowan country its reduced on the kemps website.
I'mabout my stash, the worst is i'm a really slow knitter, it will last me years even if I resist buying more....which is unlikely
My last crafting bout was beading, but at least they are small to hide.

Am so excited....a wool shop has re-opened near me....went in just to check(!) this morning and was so glad that I didn't have my purse with me as they have beautiful stuff that I would just love to get stuck into....have at least enough wool to do most of my Christmas presents, just need to crack on now...maybe I could use up the euro coins I have been saving, scared stiff that the shop will disappear again!
I am a sad old woman.....

I'm not sure if anyone can help, but here goes.
When we were visiting York recently,we visited the Cath Kidston shop. In there they had a crochet cushion, which was just trebles into a square. My daughter thought they were cool, and I immediately said I would make her one. The yarn used was slightly less than a chunky knit, but was made out of nylon(I think),not nylon yarn, but nylon ribbon. The reason why I'm asking here is that my mum used to use this type of yarn to knit peg bags, and shopping bags in the seventies. It's very hardwearing, and from what I can remember was brightly coloured. It was not a soft yarn, like normal knitting wool.
I thought I'd have no problem buying this, but I've been into so many shops and people just look at me as if I'm an idiot.
I probably haven't described it very well, but if anyone has any ideas what it is, I'd be very grateful for any information.
Update
After sethsgran's post. I convinced myself that Cath Kidston wouldn't use nylon, but the cotton she mentioned didn't look how I remembered it. I phoned up the Cath Kidston shop, to find out what the cushion was made of. The cushion was actually a "vintage " piece, bought by their buyers as a one off original.
I phoned Texere Yarns and they were fantastic. They knew exactly what I was talking about, and it's torn nylon ribbon, which they believe was a by product from some manufacturing process.

I was in QLM in Meanwood Leeds today and they had King Cole "Capri" yarn on offer at 99p per ball. Wonder if this might help you out.... http://www.cascadeyarns.com/kingcole-Capri.asp this is a link to see what the yarn looks like, not the same as you want I know but it might work and the price was good.
I had a look at this site:

and wondered if Duet or Fizz might be the sort of thing that you were after?0 -
I was wondering if anyone may be able to help me out- I`m looking for the Rowan pattern to make the set of three sitting chickens. I have a coupon to send away for free pattern in Prima but have only just found it and am worried I won`t get it sent off it time before the cut off date. If anyone can help I would be most grateful.
