I don't want to bother my MIL yet again so was wondering whether someone here could help.

I have nearly finished this item

    http://www.knitnstyle.com/projects/K...wrapjacket.pdf

and am in the middle of knitting up the collar. I have got as far as knitting for 8" and the following 2 rows. Now I am stuck as it says
    Shape Neck Edge
Keeping continuity of rib pat as now est, BO 7 (8, 8, 8, 9, 9) sts at beg of next 6 rows [21 (27,
    27, 27, 33, 33) sts

I'm unsure how I'm supposed to keep the continuity of the pattern when following the knit row it doesn't match up on the previous rows stitches (sorry if I've not made sense).

    Can anyone help?

    Hi Lynsey,

Not sure if I understand your question, but basically it wants you to cast off the stitches, and keep the rib pattern. If you are knitting the collar in K1, P1 rib, then just keep that in line and you should be fine.
You're only young once, but you can be immature forever :D

Hi Charlie's_mum, didn't think I was explaining myself properly. Basically I suppose my question is do I just do the 4 rows I was originally doing incorporating the pattern as I am now a few stitches shorter e.g row 1 P1, K2, P1 I would just k2 as I have lost the purl stitches either side, row 2 P2 as following from row 1 and rows 3 and 4 would be K2/P2 instead of K4/P4 as I have lost 2 stitches or do I do the 2 shaping rows I have just done?

Sorry if I've confused you even more.

I find that www.garnstudio.com has lots of patterns for thick knits, won't be for your specific yarn but if you can get the tension correct there shouldn't be a problem....sorry you will have to search for a cardigan pattern as they will be spread around site...just choose 'ladies' and go on from there. The site is Danish but is available in English.

    Happy hunting

Hi, was hoping someone would be able to help me.
I'm knitting a bolero cardigan, I'm working on the back and have decreased for the armholes. It says to knit armholes till they are 15cm. This may sound like a silly question but do I measure the 15cm from the row the shaping starts or do I measure 15cm along the armhole edge?
Hopefully someone out there understands what I mean!!!
    Thanks in advance

I would measure from the beginning of shaping. Hope that helps
